Feature Friends Page

Hi all...many of the girls these days are exchanging links with a feature friends page...basically swapping galleries. If any of you do this, can you give me some guidelines on how you do this. Who serves the pics, do you only swap with people that have a feature friends page, or if they want to put a text link up or a banner, is that okay? Does the link go in your free or members area? I think I'm rambling here but any thoughts would be great:-)

Angel, it surprised me when you first posted as Billy...cause I thought he knew everything...but then I realized, that it's you who knows everything:-) Yeah, we want an updated pic of the baby. I should post my grand daughters pic too..she is gorgeous..but I'm partial:-) Damn, how easy we chics get off the subject...hehehe So lets discuss the best way to trade traffic these days?????????????? Anyone???

As you saw Billy we got the discounted pass from Homegrown. Looks like all the conference rooms are booked up. So we will have to be informal with our gettogether. Just make sure we dont schedule it the same night as the FFNB.

My 2 cents on the friends page is that it needs to be old school again. Swap links with traffic that compliments you. Ive seen too many sites that load 3 popunders for their friends pages.

I agree a true swap... from one site right to the "friends" page.. without all the popups, dont kill the surfer let them be your friend also.

But is this possible ??

This might not be RIGHT on the topic... but we have been toying with the idea of taking a domain - say, amateurinternet.com, and putting up a toplist for amateurs. And nothing else - just straight to the index page.

I know, it's not exactly a brandspanking new, original idea... but if it was 'invitation only' and only for individual amateur sites, it could be a traffic generator. A clean toplist, with no extra popups, redirects, no banners, just the names and a thumbnail pic of those participating.

No traffic skimming, cj scripts, etc, etc, etc - all of the things I hate about toplists sometimes. Just - for the love of god - a LIST.

I don't know about everyone else, but we've been working on creating our own sources of traffic. We run two linklists now, started up an MGP, a TGP - all in the name of creating traffic sources that don't rely on the vagaries of AVS'es going out of business, or lists making prohibitive rules, etc.

Curious if there's any interest. We won't use any of the current 'friends' type pages, as - as mentioned earlier- they seem to turn into pop up hell.
