Lots of rumors and big bag tidbits flying around concerning AVN and AEE etc.
This is the shit you wont read on GFY.

AEE is rumored to be 2 weeks after CES piggy backing the areas largest gun show.
Relocating to everyones favorite venue of The Palms as the show site.

Also hear that Paul Fishbein officially announced his departure from the company where he remains on as a consultant.

All this while Alec and his .XXX circus eye Miami as a new summer show site for the east coast...

I'll go if they get it out from on top of CES, but having it in the Palms virtually assures I wont set foot into the show itself.

I think these guys are shopping around for the hotel where they can get the biggest kickback. It's more about turning a buck than putting on a good show.

Sure enough, I got the official announcement. Those shows are moving date and moving to the Palms. The bullshit excuse is that room rates are too high during CES. The truth is that the hotels aren't going to give them much of a discount or kickback during CES, but they will pile up the loot when you show up outside of major show times.

The show that will suffer the most will be AEE. There doesn't appear to be anywhere at the Palms to have that sort of a show, unless i missed something. It's also away from the strip which means the more casual visitor just won't take the time.

Congrats to the winners, and these guys too.

Is it that the Sands isn't affordable anymore?

I'm not a big fan of the Palms either (so much smoke in there), but their theatre is great for the AVN Awards show.

Ugh, the Palms is the smokiest hotel in Las Vegas. Internext there the previous couple of years before this January was miserable for me in that regard. I have gone to AVN/Internext every year in January since 1992 and I am sure I willl be there no matter where or what days they have it. But I still reserve the right to complain.
