I don't recall exactly but as I remember quite a few people on this board have a bone to pick with FCI, and I have no issue with that. I remember reading something before about it being the end for FCI, yet they continue to live. I believe it was something similar i.e. servers taken, office raided. I don't really remember. I'm not a regular here obviously.
As a former STracker/FCI employee I can vouch for the integrity of both TaDOW and Chichio. I know none us are here to stir the pot or get anyone riled up.
I am just as interested in any information that involved the people I know and have worked with as they are.
It is easy to post a thread or add comments that may be taken out of context or are intended to be sarcastic or ask a question...that may be misunderstood. This situation is not new, so any new information is always questioned.
I am sure all parties will be glad when it's over. Ok, some parties will be glad when it's over.
Know this for sure... I would never knowingly speak ill of SexTracker, Shawn Bode or Ross Perkins or their current staff...as well as Meat and Aga either.

I should say Meat has been warning of the practices of ST for a LONG time now, and openly and fully publicly, so none of this is new. Well with the exception of the server grab.... I have heard something on that, but the source is not what I would call fully reliable, so I'll leave it be.
For Tim & Chichio, I too have been around for a long time, but not as long as you, and I lurked boards LONG before I started posting.. when I did first post here I was impaled for what was spin control at that time, but I stuck.

Oprano is a crucible, a baptism by fire, for those who are new here. But it is only the latest in a long line of them ... First the original YNOT, later Netpond when Serge was there, in some ways (on some days) GFY can be like that (except it also suffers myriad fools too gladly) ... But Oprano definitely is.
I wouldn't say "no spin zone" is an apt motto or ever was apt for this place. Mike and Serge certainly always had their own "spin" and let others spin in their own various ways.
But this place does like to seperate the chaff from the wheat.

Disclaimer: I obviously have an ax to grind, you needn't point that out. Secondly, I am not trying to represent myself as a good guy, I currently work for an adware company.
I was at that "meeting" years ago at Nicks house with Bode. As hostile as Nick is on this board I remember him being a perfect gentlemen and a gracious host in person. I certainly enjoyed Nicks hospitality.
So lets start from the second beginning...
Flying Crocodile Inc. became FCI Inc after Andy Edmond was pushed out due to his gross mismanagement. Shawn Boday and Ross Perkins assumed the role of co-CEO's and shared Andy's former office. I had been on a forced "sabatical" for many months due to my inability to play ball with Andy. Its funny how dificult people (myself included) become when they are lied to, cheated, and not payed. Once Andy was forced out I returned to manage the advertising sales team. This was not to last as Shawn was insistent on managing advertising sales himself. So, I took over the management and marketing of Sexlist, a property I had developed with my partner and sold to FCI a few years before. It was at this time that Richard Fannin (Bama) came to the FCI offices one night to pitch a project to us. Shawn was busy so I met with him. Bama was pitching what is now known as adware. Sneaky adware. I was excited and pulled Shawn into the meeting. Shawn heard Bama out and said thanks but no thanks. We had other shit going on...
I was going to go into great detail, but I'm lazy and would really rather not do all the typing. It would be boring anyways. So I'll just kick down the facts about FCI, Avenue Media, etc...
1. FCI entered into a distribution agreement with Bama, they were to provide Bama with 1 million installs. Shawn read between the lines and noted, "the agreement does not specify where these installs are to come from!" Long story short, Bama got 1 million installs, from China and Korea.
2. While partnered with Bama, FCI had access to the admin to Bama's software. This was used by Shawn to gain valuable insight into the adware business. This access was also used to steal Richards intellectual property. When Bama declined our offer to provide additional services in consideration for a larger stake, we simply started developing our own software. Developers were given access to Bama's admin interface.
3. It was decided that this new business should be based offshore, work commenced on forming Avenue Media. Jim Finnell (CFO and one third of the FCI corporate triumverate) was pushed out at this time by Bob Kim over personal differences as well as Jim's desire to own more of Avenue than Bob, Shawn, and Ross were willing to give up.
I remember when Bama showed me this product.... I told him he was releasing hell on the net.

4. Unbeknownst to me (my former partner at Sexlist and I were to have 60 points on FCI/AM's adware deal) FCI had started developing a second, confidential adware product incorporating Bama's feature set, as well as additional functionality Shawn and I had come up with.
5. While a friend/business acquitance was visiting on business Shawn and I (the third person can't be identified) discussed the feasability of distributing through the p2p's as well as through viral email methods.
6. FCI had a employee (interestingly enough he's posted on this thread) working full time adding URL's into the config. These URL's would have either all, or some percentage of their traffic redirected. This list included but was not limited to the top sites on Sextracker! All this work was done from the Seattle offices of FCI, not in Caracao. The employee was on the FCI payroll.
7. I think it should be noted (this is going to be a big duh to some of you) that the only reason AM was formed was to hide assets and evade taxes. As Bob Kim (the architect of all this jiggery pokery as FCI's CLO) once told me, "yeah dude, we're going to make alot of money, someones going to find out what we're up too and sue the shit out of us. Also, we don't want to pay taxes on any of this income."
My involvement with FCI ended on a sour note when I realized that they had no intention of sharing the ill-gotten gains with me. Obviously these people have bad parents who didn't teach them vital life lessons about sharing and playing well with others.
I moved on and am hated by millions of people the world over in my own right.

At the time you and Mark were given access to the administrative back-end - you were not employed by FCI. They violated the non disclosure. They allowed you to duplicate my admin/features on their servers hosted on their network.
That was the direction I was going down before you left the country.

My pleasure Bama. As for whether or not my posts were ethical or wrong, I don't give a fuck. I haven't been in the States for almost two years now. I don't plan on returning. I would have loved to hang out and sue Shawn and have Bob disbarred, spit on Ross, etc. Be that as it may, I had to get the fuck on out of there for other reasons. So there goes the lawsuit. Furthermore, I don't stay in one country for too long...I'm not worried about their legal goons catching up to me.
