Then they fucked up there accounting and kept adding more and more clicks.

I wasn't around for this one either. I too only knew Kara's as a paysite. Seems it was a freesite before that run by RB and Bob and Bob posted to surfers on the site as Kara and they ate it up!

Their affiliate program amounted to two banners (ever!!) and a cheap piece of trash stats program that was a dropdown that you could never see a period, only one day at a time. That was it! I remember Lensman walking around the first IA2000 Internet show in Orlando, looking totally lost, and asking how to start one of those web sites.

And who can forget Joe Liberty (I know Serge can't), who sat in my living room for 4 hours with his wife, without ever saying a damn word. Talk about uncomfortable silence! The guy was using stolen Raquel Darrien (sp?) pictures for his "Lovey" site, and people bought it! He was also the guy who sent you your checks (or part of them at least) for the above-mentioned "knights" program.

I also remember when JoeE threw his first big party at the Clarion in Orlando, and didn't have enough money to cover the tab. That one was funny

I remember back in 1997, ScottP puking all over the elevator while we were all in it, then getting a shit kicking from another webmaster.

I remember one Montreal -- at least I think it was Montreal, they all blur a bit -- when a bunch us were up all night and then had breakfast at dawn, still up at 6:30 in the morning. This was just after Janey got her new boobs, and just before both Carol and Ro got their's

The Playmate was the one who was threatened with the lawsuit from Playboy, for using the term "Playmate of the Year" on her website. I know she ended up costing Janey, Steph and MikeFold quite a bit of money in the end when they were trying to help and support her.
