actually, i have been thinking about starting to train again. i have no flexibility in my legs and hips anymore. plus i am a slob. its seems like a small committment but its pretty big when you have to start structuring your life around it. it sucks though when you start to lose flexibility and you definately feel it. i like Shotokan now. i really like the harder styles better. its kinda irrelevant anyway since you will just tackle me and choke me out.

I hardly EVER drink enough to get drunk (that first night in FL was the first time in YEARS AND YEARS I've been that sloshed), I don't smoke - though I did for years, I drive boring cars (singular right now....), I live in a small house in a small town, everything on me is "orginal equipment", I've never had a threesome or been with a woman (and if I WAS going to do it, it would have been during my "wild" decade or so which was many years ago - so don't ask me to do it now...), and my idea of fun is having a couple of glasses of wine and planting morning glories.

hehe.. i have seen quite a few drunken, "friendly" displays and general "playfullness" that end badly on many levels for those involved and on a couple occasions, for a few unfortunate bystanders who just happened to be in the vacinity of two drunk idiots with a good idea.
it usually starts with seemingly harmful ideas like... "ok, i am going to try to hit you and i want to see if you can block my punches... i really don't think you can"
or... "there is just no way in hell you can kick me in the head..."
there are some things that should be supervised and controlled in the dojo. getting my ass kicked is one of them
I remember back in 1997 sitting in the YNOT hospitality suite with JoeE, having a drink about 4 in the morning. Only a handful of people still around. There was some young kid, who was huge, getting drunk and mouthing off. He started pissing off Grimm, and they started to go at it.
I jumped in between and almost got killed! It was like being stuck between a moving truck and a rock wall! I couldn't breathe, Carol was screaming, and JoeE was laughing his ass off.

Grimm seems to have that gift. I went to New Orleans last year for the Steelers game and me and Grimm went out for some late night partying. We go to this little bar and he heads to the bathroom. This chick comes up to me and says "Do you know that guy?" I said, "No, I just met him." (I'm a good liar) She then went into a tirade about what an asshole he was.
