I didn't say that I'm a webmaster that doesn't make any money, nor did I say that I'm not maintaining my site as a professional site, I simply stated that the income I get from it is more used as "fun money" or to be put back into the business, as a response to the idea that if I don't make as much money as someone 10 years ago, then I'm worthless or a moron.

As far as the comments about my deserving to be ridiculed - I do searches prior to making any comments or posts (hence the lurker who posts when I see the need or when my resources are exhausted). Whether that be on google or on old posts, just to see what others in the "industry" had to say about it, I do my research. I ask for help here and there when I need to...

Regardless, with posts like this thread, y'all will get what you want - which is just a place with no information and a bunch of bsing about diddly squat. So much for a "webmasters" board.

Currently it's a part time job. I cannot give up my "corporate" job for personal /private reasons....But regardless of if I make 500 a week or 5000 a week from my site, I should be able to come to a resource board and get a straight answer without weeding through a bunch of bullshit or ridicule. If someone else asks a question, who knows, that might be something that I have a question about myself, but am afraid to ask it because I see what happens when they do...

We found out a long time ago that content was the cheapest thing you can get in this biz. Better to buy it. We found out, designers are a dime a dozen, I've had sites designed by Sharky, Acura, and a host of great designers... I don't need to learn that.

If no one has told you yet, traffic and sales. King and Queen.

Once you find that out and know how to work it, everything is easy.
