JoeE called Serge looking for some help with live cams and did he know anyone serge gave him my number

joee called me on a sunday morning and first tried to bad mouth people i currently do buisness with so I would move my cams and think their program was in trouble.

2nd offered me a LAUGHABLE flat per hour rate for my studios

3rd said he would pay me to bring him studios that HE would pay them a flat rate NOT their per minute earnings and pay me the commission on what ever deal i brought him

I trusted joe and gave him a flat rate for the studios I would bring to him.

Talked to the studios owners...worked out the deal

sent joee his e-mail address

Joe then went behind my back on the AGREED flat rate and cut a different deal with the studio owner thus cutting me completely out of the deal

NEITHER of them new anything about each other prior to my intro..

Joee now wants to pay me a commission on His Profit

What a fucking joke...

I have all of joee's e-mails to me AND the e-mails he sent to the studio owner cutting me out of the deal and setting it up directly with him at the same time whispering sweet nothings in my ear

Now i have TONS of other info on Joee's thefts from other cam models and studio owners

It will all come out in the wash

LittleC, I have heard that you are a very intelligent woman - so why are you so quick to believe that JoeE is the one telling the truth and others are lying? Can't you see through it yet? or has he begged you to come to his defense in this matter because he can't do it for himself? If you had all the information, you probably wouldn't be jumping to his defense.

Your line there about the limo shows me that you have been fed a very big lie about the reality behind the situation. Nobody asked for limo rides, they did however ask to be paid for the time they invested into building the product that joe claims he 'purchased' for 30k (that's pretty darn cheap for a functional business, content, software, several months of wages for 2 people working on icecoldcash etc, wouldn't you agree?)

The only reason joe is saying he will co-operate with forest now is that he was caught out screwing him and everyone knows about it. Lucky for forest you are friends with both of them, and it looks like your influence will help sort out 1 of the situations where joe has tried to walk away from paying someone money - its nice of you to do that for them both.

But, you should understand the value of content & your business better than anyone ... ask joe how he thinks that 30k pays for someone's entire business, along with several months of wages, content, member & model database, etc etc. Would you consider your business to be worth considerably more than that? Just ask him if he has the 2257 documentation on file ...

People like joe rely on folks like you to defend them, but to do that he has to feed you incorrect information before you talk to the people who know the rest of the story.

Its a great technique, works for many business men who work like joe - get your partners/associates to fight with one another to make sure they hate each other more than they hate you. It works until the day those partners/associates get together and realize they've been getting fucked all along.

I feel bad for you Claudia, because Joe has fed you a great big fat line - and you can say all you like that you trust him, love him, want to kiss and hug him or whatever, but he is getting you to do his dirty work for him ...

And before any of you point out the obvious, that i'm defending someone else also, I must confess that I feel very responsible for my friends getting fucked over. They asked me a year ago for advice, joe was threatening to put them out of business by starting up a company in competition (nice bully tactic!), and offered them a chance to be involved if they brought their business to the table. I recommended to them that they should work WITH joe, because it would be harder to work against him should he choose to compete.

What they've walked away with is 30k and no business, with their key staff poached somewhere along the way ... I wish I had given very different advice, and i feel somewhat responsible.

Good question Moffit. let me try to answer that.

Quite honestly, we weren't sure how to valuate the phone number of someone who will most likely never show up for work, live up to their obligations and never be online anyway.

We weren't sure if we wanted to take advantage of someone that may not have really understood how the business really works by taking their money for something we already know has no real upfront value. We weren't sure how to take a flat fee for something that we knew would most likely never happen. We also know that you cant really sell or even valuate a relationship with no history or guarantees.

Further, we worried about what lengths we would have to go to if we were forced to collect that $25-50 finders fee in the event of a contractual default or failure to pay the commission for generating a lead for someone who will never work or who may only work sporadically for a couple weeks before flaking out.

Thats a lot to go through for some beer money.

We also had some questions as to how we should valuate our TOP SECRET methods of placing newspaper ads once a week in local papers, knowing full well that JoeE, though having built one of the most successful businesses in online adult and being one of the best marketers in the business, would have never figured that out without our assistance and extensive consultation on this highly sophisticated and unknown means of attracting potential employees. Further more, we suspected that JoeE could not afford the $30.00 per week for the ads even if we took the time to explain it to him. (i should not have let that secret out of the bag but its for a good cause)

The final thing we were worried about was having to make a major effort to try to trash someones name on the boards, hurt them, their business, their friends, their partners and their name as both revenge for being stiffed for that $25-$50 and as being forced to exploit an incident that no one cares about as a shameless attempt at self promotion at someone elses expense. We certainly did not want to be forced into bringing someones personal life into what we call "promotional liabel".

We also pondered this and wondered if creating such a situation would send the wrong message to people in the business. For example,... lets assume a hypothetical situation... If i had a credibility problem, announced a "next big thing" once a week, yet never followed through with anything, then spent my time talking shit about other people was trying to trash others in the business, was making personal attacks with the intent to hurth them and their business and was really trying to hurt them over $25 - would people see me as someone they would want to do business with?

We decided that the answer is no. But thats just us.

We decided to pursue a different course entirely. Though we see now the errors of our ways as the result of this thread... It seems we erroneously decided to produce. To build. To achieve. We decided to focus on building our own business and on creating something rather than riding on the coat tails of others. We realized that we all have unique talents and experience and make a great team together to exploit those talents. Colin and myself as well as our other two partners spend 18 hrs a day focusing on the future, the future of our company, future plans, future changes, future products and what we want to achieve together. We make big changes constantly and we are working on a couple big projects right now that we are all very excited about.

Having read this thread and other related threads, i can see where we are wrong. We now see where the big bucks are and where the real potential for achievement lies... and where we should be focusing out time and energy.

in a total smart assed attempt at reducing the value of someone else's business (which, fyi, had gathered assets other than phone numbers over its several years of operation), you made yourself look so stupid that the only thing of value you see in your business is the phone number of a model.

i would be happy to show you how to increase the value of your business by archiving video and stills of every session with every model so that your members can browse the archives while your models sit around and twirl their hair in the live shows. being that your live upsell shows are already in many members areas, it shouldn't be too hard (even for an idiot like yourself), to a ) build a plugin for a fee for paysite owners b ) add this as a feature to your pay per minute feeds for selling a lot more minutes

when I have finished working with you to build that service (which would take you 2 minutes to do for yourself), i will take your business and move it to my servers and put the content in all of my paysites and you can go fuck yourself.

... because, like you said, your business is nothing but a bunch of phone numbers of models who don't show up

I was approached by a potential client a few months ago with a pretty cool online mainstream product, i gave them a proposal, 3 month marketing and development plan .... and my fee. He returned with an insulting counter offer, i declined, 4 months later he still hasn't got a billing solution for his product, something which any one of us could do with our eyes closed.

it doesn't matter how many awesome designers and programmers he has on his staff, because he is still looking for a billing solution 4 months later ... i kinda feel bad that i could fix it with just a few links in an email, but that's what he gets for underestimating the value of networking.
