CCBill Exposes Shavers System-Wide

Since no one else has mentioned it, I will...
The CCBill affiliate interface now shows you EXACT details for every program you're promoting... including when the sponsor has chosen to turn your rebills off!!

A number of sponsors have already been caught red-handed, check GFY for the drama. Perfection Girls' Jeff is being laid open. First he accused Mutt of photoshopping things and said all of his affiliates would step up and support him... none of them did. They all logged in to check and found the same thing, all rebills stop after 1. They're NOT happy.
Now he's blaming CCBill. He posted a phone number to CCBill so people could call and verify that it was their system screwing up; it wasn't CCBill's phone number that he was posting. Someone *did* call CCBill and ask, according to what they were told there is nothing wrong with things on CCBill's end and it's showing what he's got it set at. (payout 1 rebill only)
This will be interesting.

All the sponsors are in Vegas and either haven't gotten notice that their shaving has been laid open or they're not able to rush in and change things.

I checked my CCBill sponsors, out of 15 only one of them is paying a lower percentage than what they advertise on their webmaster page and none of them are limiting rebills (except for those that tell you straight out that they will).

Way to go CCBill !!!!!!!!

I think it's great that the information is now available. I find it very disturbing that it hasn't been for god knows how long, though. The current list of sponsors that were ending rebills prematurely, without any varied payout structure or bonsues, is at 13.

Everyone knew this feature was going to be available to affiliates, and i think it would be silly to assume that more than a few sponsors didn't change this before the change came into effect.

So instead of kudos, i'd like to say; about bloody time.

it's good imho that revshare programs are being exposed as crooks. why? because for years they have waved the big bullshit white flag of "revshare programs dont shave, so sent your traffic somewhere where you're a partner".

this is not the only way they can/do/will shave you.

be wise. take your money as a lump sum. up front.

jmho, but it definitely doesnt hurt to ask yourself what the big money makers buy into... and it's unlikely that you'll see anybody with serious traffic doing revshare. why? cause they know they're gonna make more on pps

Is it that CCBill designed their affiliate software so sponsors could chose to not show rebills all the while the consumer was still being rebilled?

....and only now has opened that up for affiliates to view?

Why would they create that utility in the first place?

Are there actually rev share programs that disclose in their terms that affiliates will only get paid for "x" number of rebills?

I was recently denied access to my stats by a sponsor for about 2 weeks...When my access was reinstated, I discovered that they must have accidently turned off the shave, also. For that period of time, my CTR was many times higher than it had ever been with that sponsor. I figure from the numbers that that sponsor is registering only about 5% of the traffic I send to them. :angry:

CCbill has offered the option to stop paying on rebills after which ever rebill the program owner chose, they reasons for this are debatable including having a 100% payout for the join and first rebill, shaving and so on

As for PPS vs. revshare programs - Don't believe everything or anything you hear or read here, it's not necessarily true you earn the most with money up front on a PPS program

PPS programs face many challenges including making a profit paying $30-$45 on a $2.99 trial, how to control various frauds, how to stay under chargeback % and so on

The fact is make the most $ you can, safely and quickly as you can

Let's forget all the candywrapping and boasting this is better than that

Compare apples to apples by analyzing earning per click

It the beginning of a new year so if you're sending traffic/joins to various programs check your numbers for last year
- the MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER is AMOUNT PER CLICK EARNED!!!

Smart business people have many eggs in many baskets, sending traffic to programs is like investing, have a diversified portfolio

Overall programs earnings were .04 per click and converted at 1 in 402

Yeppers.
Strip Kittens (desktop 3d strippers, really REALLY cool) pays on trial and one rebill.
Pocket-XXX pays on signup and first rebill.

I don't send traffic to anyone, but I was just curious.

No merchants has ever asked us to incorporate that into our system, but then again, we normally send our merchants raw data and they display it in their own affiliate system.

Every sale is NOT every rebill.

This is SOFTWARE which the customer pays for ONE time. Not a recurring membership to a paysite.
