Major issue: $ 24.95 or $ 19.95 ??

This has been a huge debate with my people and we are still not 100% resolved.

How much to charge consumers for our site?

We know for $ 29.95 you get hard core and lots of it, plus bonus sites.

For $ 24.95 you get a featured model w/sex and a few bonus sites.

For $ 19.95 you get just a featured model, sometimes with no sex.

Now for our problem. We have 2 twin sisters, partial nudity, no sex, no bonus sites.

Sales are sluggish at $ 24.95, and jump up a bit at $ 19.95.

We feel that we are losing money at $ 19.95, even though chances of sales sometimes might be a little higher.

Do consumers shy away from $ 19.95 sites cause they think the content will stink?
Is $ 19.95 taboo? Of course we like $ 24.95 but don't want to lose business.

Get the the girls to do a cam/chat for members once a month and raise your price to $34.95 Find your target audience of "maxim" like consumers. Get the girls to go on Howard Stern etc. etc. Look for premiums to add to the site that increase the value.

At the end of the day, it's what Toby said. Do the math. Adjust, do the math again

Fix the tour, do more frequent updates, provide adequate promo materials and join price wouldn't even be an issue.

IMHO, you could price that site at $34.95 without any problem, provided:

1) Better looking tour, with signficantly more tease. The flash movie is nice and modern, but the rest of the site looks like 1996.

2) raise the profile of the girls. Shop them to the men's mags for softcore twin cheese shots, making sure to use the name that matches the website. As someone mentioned, stern and others are good as well

3) The girls need to be doing things like cam shows, answering emails, posting blogs, whatever. They need to appear to be real and active, which is a key selling point.

4) You need to make and maintain tools that will encourage webmasters to promote the girls, from regularly updated galleries, short tube style clips, updated RSS feed blogs, etc.

It's all about raising profile. Now I wonder what sort of reaction you will get on the next board.

I have to agree with RawAlex on all his points.

But also with the price comes what content you have and how long you'll be able to keep shooting these girls. If you don't maintain consistent updates members might buy a $24.95 or a $34.95 monthly membership but they A) won't stay to recur or will charge back quickly. If you're still shooting content with these girls and have them under a contract keep the updates to a minimum of say 2 times a week to keep the member coming back, so that he will continually rebill.

But if you don't have consistent updates and you're out of content and you start to rotate it, you'll have a member for as long as your content rotates and the likely hood of them signing up again in the future may be slim to none for a $34/$24 monthly membership.

Another thing you can try is different pricing. Try $19 one month, then try $24 the next and then $34. Go with what you see does best on the profit. See what people will pay for it and also do the math on the recurring members and see what the average member recurs at. As said earlier in the thread, "just do the math".

Depends on how a company handles it. First off you should test going from lower price to higher price. Then say you get to $34 dollars and find that $24 did the best, not the $19 or $34. So now all the $19 dollars guys are gonna be happy because they have the lowest price, nobody will mind. If a $34 customer writes in, a company can be either:

But you CAN NOT run it only off conversion ratio (like most want to think), you'll want to run it off number of uniques, conversion ratio, GROSS and the most important NET income. But there's ways of doing price testing and making the customers still be happy even tho they paid more by offering them either credit and say giving them the option of the $19.

I agree about being nice to the customer. When we were with ibill, a guy writes us and says I canceled 10 months ago and Im still recurring.I go into the logs and sure enough, he hasnt been on the site in 10 months. So I canceled the account and sent him a check for the 10 months plus a free month. He was so grateful he rejoined and is still a customer. I was trained in customer service when I was a service advisor with Mercedes. We learned without the customer we are nothing, I took that to heart.

but really, what's a simple little site like this, with no web cams, no high prices, no modern design, but has amazingly original content... go to find more affiliates?

First you might want to make your signature on boards clickable to your webmaster page. But not spamming your company. Most boards you must to announce your program and promos as a new thread you have to have advertising with them.

If you are hell bent on finding affiliates, find sites that you think fit your content, THEN WRITE THE WEBMASTER AN EMAIL DIRECTLY to ask them to promote your program. This has worked best for me on my one little program.
