Which is Your Primary Processor

Im under the assumption that CCBill owns the processing for this genre.

Just opened an account with CCBill, VISA was approved today ... going to add it to 2 more sites. I have 5 other sites using Verotel as primary because of the no VISA fee. Lower cost of entry from a few years back. Will be interesting to see if my signups improve ...

Smart money uses both paycom and ccbill and attempts to balance the eggs in each basket.

Not a bad idea to push as much as you can to WTS as well....as long as you dont mind working exclusively during business hours.

I use Netbilling. I believe the smart money has their own merchant account. That is just good business.

I had my own merchant account with my first voyeur cam site ... went well the first few months ... then I got some charge backs ... had to give back the 19.95 membership AND a $60 fee! It started eating up my money. Switched to third party billing and never regretted it or thought about my own merchant account again.

The issue is not the chargebacks. Believe me you will pay for them one way or another. It will be folded into your costs with any aggragator. Risk tolerance and control over your client list are most important. Should you choose to move to another processor, you are free to go. The extra conversions you garner far exceed the cb fees if you are prudent and honest. Aggragators scrub very hard as so they should. It is, after all, their merchant account that they are protecting. But as a primary, having a merchant account should make you a better earnings ratio.

Agree, but let Paycom process it for you.

Sorry, I know Netbilling has it's fans, but a lady named Karen out there pissed me off while I was looking to set up with them many many years ago. And I hold a grudge for a long time. I haven't been back. Seemed to have trouble being bothered to follow up in a timely manner.

And I do not do business via voicemail.

I know Karen and she has been good to me. Netbilling over the years has, like the rest of us, matured and become much more solid and professional. We have been with them since their earliest days and they have done well for us.
I still stand behind my contention no matter who you use for processing. You have much more control over your client list should you decide to move on etc. You can also set your own tolerances.

Interesting aside has developed over the weekend concerning CCBill conversion rates.

Seems one of our old scamming spyware pals has been using a little Zango action to punk out a lot of CCBill processing sites.

Jace seemed shocked but long time readers of Oprano will know that this has been exposed before with Isearch scamming before.

If a program boasts about fucking the surfer . . . what do you think they will do to a business partner?

We too have our own Merchant Account with Card Services International. Though pretty expensive at the time was still one of the best business decisions I've ever made. Selling a product is different than a service (ie, maid service, adult site, etc). Only had two charge backs in 10 years and got my money back from one of them. We also don't have to pay that VISA fee. Though we can accept everything from Diners club, Discover, Carte, etc, we still just stick with MC / VISA / AmEx.

I moved and bump this thread since this is the year of the prechecked cross sales processors. Who enable dishonest and weak programs to steal and poison our clients with $150 of worthless and unwanted charges.

We have always had our own merchant account with -0- successful chargebacks, and only 2 attempts in the past 23 years.
mc/visa/discover. NOT Amex.....gonna be trouble for you. Not only do they not want adult, they have their own idea of what a merchant discount rate should be.
