Hi all,

I was wondering what people think of the friend's rankem' type pages. I see a lot of them and have mixed things from different webmasters. Just wondering if people believe the are really beneficial.

I disagree...

A friends page can work well if the people you have on there are really your friends and not some bullshit toplist angle to skim hits back and forth.

Ive tried it in the past with some success.

And Ive been expierinmenting with it now but not as a page but a picture taken with some of my friends that links back to their site.

The traffic this way isnt massive but its mighty potent and targetted.

Ill move this to the amateur board so you can get some feedback from the rest of the community.

Traffic always has two components - Quality and Quantity

Friends pages get a "Dirty D Traffic Ranking" of:

Quality = average
Quantity = very low

Tips: Make sure you use a very clear and eye catching picture.

One of my pictures has been a proven winner... It consistantly draws more clicks than any other pics on the page! Experiment around to find a great picture to use...

Make sure that Friends pages are only a small part of your marketing and traffic.
