Vick, you are a good man. Most men would have walked away and would see their son on holidays, if then. Children need their parents. If you can both remain civil to each other and work out an arrangement that is good for all involved, then I tip my hat to you.
Those who like RenFaires are a rare breed. The majority like to have fun, meet new people, dress up, and have a good time. There is a sense of community even if you don't know a soul at the Faire. Enjoy yourself, and please share the Faire with us. I hope to go to a winter Faire in Santa Fe in early 2004. I accidentally found myself at a RenFaire in New Mexico. Santa Fe is a quaint city and doesn't need Faires for entertainment, but what a wonderful setting. The snow was coming down in large flakes for the two days I was there, but it seemed warm outside. I needed a jacket, but no bulky coat. By the time the snow hit the ground, it magically disappeared. Not only were the food and the costumes great, but I got hooked on Indian jewelry.
