I work at home and am damn proud of it. I don't *want* to be in an office while my kids have some "day mommy" watching them. They're my kids, they're my responsibility. What's the fun in having kids if you're going to have someone else raise them?
I drive my son to school each morning and then I go pick him up just before noon. We're together the rest of the day and night. How many parents bringing in an income can say that? Not many... but the majority of the folks in *this* business can!
Serge, you must be proud. I posted only on Netpond and Oprano that I was no longer with the Pond, but according to Confucy I went botting around every board in the industry. That's gotta mean something.
I'm *not* looking for work. I'm having quite a bit of fun being able to build again and watching the signups come back from my direct work. Besides, I don't want to be dependent on anyone other than myself, and having to refrain from referring someone to a competing sponsor/board even when I know they'd benefit from it doesn't sit well with me. I'm not the kind of person who will tell someone to go to ARS when I think Silvercash would be better for their situation, just because ARS is a sponsor of my employer and Silvercash isn't. I'd like to not have to refrain like that in the future, and self-employment is probably the only way that's going to happen.

I know there are many who get paid for posting. They stand out! Sometimes I am wrong. I notice Bree from Netpond is posting up a storm on threaded Netpond. I'm very disappointed to see all the ridiculous threads she has opened. But, I find myself reading some of her posts. In fact, I just came from a spider thread on GFY, and now I can't sleep after looking at all those damn black widow and brown recluse monsters.
People thought that I got paid by Netpond. No way! That's Carrie's territory, and I would feel very uncomfortable knowing that I was expected to mouth off to earn my money.

ya never know what you might learn on a webmaster chat board ... i was trying to describe the concept of a webmaster board to a non industry person recently - people are always amazed at the infrastructure we have created for ourselves - advertising, board whores, signature lines, pickem contests, political/religious/business discussions etc - what a unique world we live (and play!) in ...

CJ, you are so right. Boards have so many layers, especially the porn ones. I never got one of the confucy shirts that I think Sharky handed out. Especially in LV, everyone is wearing a name tag. I have no excuse not showing up there because it's so close, and I visit friends who live there.
Last year was a very difficult year. Serge told me to take a break. Through his riddles and his detective work, I saw the light.

This thread reminds me of the old Netpond non-threaded board. There is no rhyme or reason to it, and it just stumbles along.
I have tried not to say nasty things about females. I know how difficult it is to be a female in porn. Most of the women I have met have impressed me much more than the men. They work harder! You brought up the subject of LL a while back. One thing I regret is making negative remarks about this woman. I did it to get to Serge. He told me to keep his family out of it. But my family was brought into the picture when Kevin Mitnick and his groupies posted false information about me and my family. Serge and I were in the middle of a shit storm. Webmasters who supported me backed away when I kept mentioning LL, but I continued on my merry way, and that is why I was banned, CJ. There was no secret agreement between me and Serge to further a show. Serge just got really pissed at me, and I understand. So, I would like to take this moment to apologize to Susanne. I could start a separate thread, but then I would be accused of showboating and trying to get attention. LL was helping her husband solve the *confucy* identity puzzle. Sorry, KK, but I am sincere in this apology to LL.
