"Marketing by stealth isn't the only tactic employed in relation to Tim Tams. They have also been associated with the double entendre, such as "Ten reasons why a Tim Tam is better than a man", and "Two and a half inches has never been so satisfying". These people are well aware the major devourers of Tim Tams are women. Perhaps the name "Double Trouble" is not so far off the mark. Arnott's has also reported that most Tim Tams are eaten in the privacy of the home, and forty percent of customers admit to hiding their purchase of Tim Tams from friends and family."
"You can buy Tim Tams online, including at the web site of my sponsor Simply Australianhttp://www.simplyoz.com/products/aussie_fo...ts/tim_tams>. Through the Arnott's web site you do have to buy in bulk. But hey, when were 20 packets of Tim Tams too many? In fact, according to Arnott's:
Around 30 million packs of Australia's bestselling chockie bikkies are sold each year - that's nearly 300 million biscuits, or two packets for every Australian.
On a per capita basis, they are the world's biggest-selling chocolate biscuits.

If she decides to get mean and keep them all for herself let me know and I'll bring you your own supply.
Peaches, send me the timtams. I'm just trying to keep you fit.
Lisa, I had a great time hanging out with you and Peaches. It's nice to be around people my own age for a change. Really enjoyed it. Probably the best show for me ever as far as networking went.
Ulfie, I really enjoyed hanging with you too. I'm much the same ya know...can't take all the dickheads anymore. Still enjoy a bit of a party atmosphere, but REALLY like it when I can get some decent conversation. Of course spending the majority of my time with 3 kidlets probably contributes to that.

We didn't get married in Florida did we? That happened last time I went to a show and I didn't even know about it until I got home. I could be facing some legal problems if we did. h34r:

Dantheman was a silent partner in all this - I merely married him w/o his knowledge when I bought him dinner. It's a bad habit of mine.
(I bet Gonzo will now refuse to let me buy him the meal I owe him.... )

Who here remembers ScottPB throwing up in the elevator at the Clarion in Orlando back in '97? That just hit me when I saw his name
I think he got in a fight with someone that evening too?? Don't fully remember...
Send em down South...we can show em how to eat and put some lbs on em.
Yeah, "meat and three" plus a hunk of banana pudding. No place to get that anywhere here in Boca. I have to eat twice as much sushi to stay fat. No sweet tea either.
This whole thing seems like a pretty simple straightforward dispute between a couple of resource sites over the normal thing that resource sites get into disputes about.

I miss the oprano reviews... and would like to see Oprano in boardscanner.
Btw... Dravyk did something "nice" for me a couple of months ago that has directly made me money. As far as him being a fence-sitter.. he could also be called a diplomat.. and by the looks, no one seems to like him taking a stand this time anyway! ;-)
Well I will again thank those who posted good things here.
Next, I agree if someone is a constant board reader of this board, reviews would not be of much use to those. To those who read many boards, while it's impossible to capture the Oprano "flavor" in reviews (one has to read Serge's posts themselves to enjoy them fully), it has its benefits, IMHO.
All in all, as PD said, "twas much ado about nothing".
However, I will not and can not let this post go unchallenged ...

I will say it. Drav is a weenie. He has always been a weenie, and will always be a weenie. He is a fence sitter, and an ass kisser. Could this be because of his job? Maybe. But regardless, I have no respect for people who cannot stand up for the things they beleive. ( It is even worse if they do not have anything they beleive in)
I have NEVER kissed anyone's ass. EVER.
Next, Mike, not sure if you know what year this is, but just to inform you, it is 2003, not 1999. Yes I WAS a fence sitter, as you call it, during the time when I was a newbie and during the early days at Condom/Netpond as an official of that resource. At the time, being an official there, working for someone else, and that board being only one of two major boards, you didn't fuck over sponsors or try to take sides, especially when you worked there. Later when it was one of five major boards and there became more competition for advertisers, that held even more true.
And even while I was there, I remember getting called on the carpet a few times for NOT using discretion, and told to tone it down. (Or rather recall Nick screaming "what the fuck were you thinking, talking to so-so like that on the board. He's a fucking sponsor!") That's one of the many ironies in your statement, Mike.
(Another might be, I have never seen you put bitch-slap any of your advertisers listed on here, but hey, let's not ruin this post with facts or anything.)
What you call fence sitting, I call my being diplomatic. Something that you both don't know how to do and never had to worry about doing being in a different position. But, for me, that was four years ago; get with the program. Haven't sat on any fences for a long fucking time. In fact, if I was someone who didn't take stands, didn't have opinions, and kissed assed, this whole banning shit would never have come up. Duh! :-)
Personally, I think the weeniest shit I've seen in a long time was your taking shots here at a time you knew I wasn't able to respond. Now THAT is weenie, Mike.
And with that said, nice to be back to be able to say all of that.

Banning a Diplomatic Fence Sitter is particulally pointless
isn't it ?
You are much more appealing when you say what's on your mind. Never in my life did I think you would be banned from anywhere. Didn't know you were gone from Oprano, just thought you were too busy to post on all the boards.
This news about you is making my day. According to KK, I've become a whiner. She's right. Let's kick some ass, Dravyk. We may have more in common than just being banned.
HoneyBlonde, yeah, it would have been pointeless had that been the case, wouldn't it have?
Confucy, not the first time I've opened up, spoke my mind, nor gotten into a rip roaring piss. Plenty of history there across many boards over many years. Plenty of history of me getting along with folks too on boards and elsewhere. Just the normal mix.
Mike has always been a shit-stirrer. No problem. There are appealing things about that when done in moderation. I prefer getting along with folks. It's easier, it's less stressful, it's more productive. If anyone thinks that's a weakness, they are dead wrong and fucking stupid too. And I pretty much put them in place quickly.
Plus, not everything happens on the boards. I've had some nice, um, "conversations" off the boards in email, ICQ and even phone lately. :-) Anyone who knows me knows I'm not afraid of saying anything *directly* to anyone if I have need for it. Some folks can only post on boards then be wusses when you hit them up directly. (And no, Mike and Serge are not wusses there'. Nor am I.)
One of the things Mike and I do see eye to eye on is loathing keyboard warriors, those who can say something on a board, then show themselves as the wimps they are when it's direct.
Confucy, I will kick some ass in public ... when I feel that is the best way for me to get my message across. And I'll be nice publicly or kick ass privately or be nice privately ... all on a case-by-case basis, all just as I have always done. So, in that sense, nothing has changed. Just maybe a few people's misguided perceptions, and I'm sure some of those haven't changed either. But then that's their problem, so I really don't give a damn.
