Here's a thought. What if there is an affiliate that has sent them just one sale. Since the owners/partners/whatevers are exempt from the contest (as a matter of almost all state laws) then someone is owed an I-pod.... and it could be a person that sent in just one sale.
I have friends at CC-Bill that would help us find the REAL winner is Red will allow it.
In all fairness.... I dont think its the sites in question. A wise man once told me you could build a site with a pile of dog shit on it and if you showed enough people someone would buy.
I think its the awarding of the prize thats under fire.

Now the dixietrailertrash site ranking of 120,292 I didn't think was too bad until I saw that it has a toplist page, in fact many of the sites have a toplist page. You should easily go above 120K with a toplist. http://www.dixietrailertrash.com/autorank/toplist.html
Then digging a little deeper I see that the top 20 sites on the toplist are their own sites. Hmmmm, could they be pushing their own sites to the top and screwing the guys who are sending in honest trade traffic? I think they might be, simply because the toplist software they are using requires a special link code with the username and none of their intersite links that I can find includes any username code. So how do ALL their sites rankings take the 20 or so top spots on thier toplist?
Listen folks, some of us have been doing this a long time and can spot cheaters and top list shavers a mile away. Do you really think that anyone with a decent amount of traffic is going to send it to an affiliate program that uses a bag of old cheat tricks. How can we trust you?

Here’s the poop with BHE. They host 3 of our sites as well as have a partnership with us and have for years. Just because they are who they are, doesn’t mean that the guys who market for them (and us) are not to be counted. We could have, as so many other programs do, just pick an affiliate who posts on a lot of boards and give it to them so they could talk about it and give us more exposure. But we didn't. We sent the I-pod to the marketing guy that did the most, period. I wouldn’t care who it was or if it was the devil himself. Why would it matter to us to send the item to someone who didn’t deserve it for what amounts to less than an hours income. Also, since they are “partners” with us, they do NOT need an affiliate code as we can track their sales via our sign-ups. If you've got a problem with that feel free to get in touch with my partner. Now on to the toplists. Yes we have our own sites on the toplist and we push the traffic between them, but we are not cheating anyone. Before the affiliate program started that was the main way we got traffic and at this point most of the traffic is still being generated that way and the majority of it is coming from our own sites due to the non affiliate marketing we do. If we were cheating the others on our toplists, don't you think they would have suspended the accounts by now considering the toplists have been going for a few years?
If anything the affiliates benefit from our own sites being the top ranking, since their cookies carry through and they are getting paid on sales made to sites that aren't even in the affiliate program.

Sales are increasing every week and the affiliates will be pleased with the rebills they'll be getting. We have members of Dixie that have been with us for years. Sure, most of my affiliates are little fish who are only getting one or two sales a day (and I do have 2 that are doing between 5 and 15 a day) and I'm ok with that for now. It's building slowly, but it's building and I don't have to answer to you or anyone else for my program being small. So you and Rick and anyone else that has a problem with me can just go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.
Red: No offense, but that is an EXTREME conflict of interest. In the real world, that relationship would or at least should make them ineligible for taking part in the contest.

If you're so sure that the sites couldn't possibly sell for shit, then prove me wrong. Sign up and promote it for a month with targeted traffic. Surely you can afford to "throw away" some traffic for a month since you have so much money anyway. So why not put some of it where your mouth is? I'll even tell you the type of traffic that's converting best for us.

I work with a group of guys who consistently do 10 to 25 sales a day. They bagged a very big whale as a subaffiliate that we are expecting to do over 100+ a day.
By keeping the door open and making sure they get the support to run their affiliate program using us as a backend made this possible.
Everyone should be given top support in a program. What held true back in the late 90's still does now. That noob who sends 2 sales today can be the next whale.

Look, you don't think I have any affiliates sending me traffic and I know I do, so continuing this argument is futile. If you're trying to bait me into getting my affiliates to come here and post in my defense, forget it. You've already said that anyone who sends traffic to my sites must be a part of the company in some way, so why should I tell them to come here just to have you accuse them of the same thing?
If you're just looking to keep stirring the shit for either your own amusement or for page views, do it on someone else's time. I've got way to much work to do.

And YES anyone that is your partner/owner/etc. should be eliminated from a competition. It is improper and in violation of almost every states contest laws.
You say that in hind sight you should give your partner an I-Pod and the guy that came in second. If you really believe that then you can still do that. Give the guy that came in #2 an I-pod... no hindsight is required for that gesture.
And finally, isn't it very convienient that you use CC-Bill as your processor but used your own "internal stats" to determine the winner since your partner does not use an affiliate code.

It is still my belief , that there are really only three species of Whales left.
1.) The highly hunted and prized Mailer Whale
2.) The illusive SE Whale
3.) The Domain Whale.
I know (major TGP owners) excepted that can send 100 joins a day , sustained , except a whale from these three species.

And here is the problem in catching those whales.
If you are gonna mail , mail to where you get the most $$$. You can change in a heartbeat.And factor in what gets you less "heat"
If you are gonna garner SE traffic , send it to where you make the most money.
If you are sending domain hits...like wise.
And currently it is not adult. The last time REAL whales as a group schooled around a product it was prolly the Paris Hilton tape...all whales did good on that one.Even though some were left unpaid , before that the money was good (Rule 17: The last wire nevewr comes)
Most whales are swimming round pharma , mortgages , Credit , IR, etc etc...
And frankly , in my case , whilst I concentrate on building things for the future it is nice to have a reghular income , besides recurs. Especially in this day and age.
So I follow the money.
And it isn't in adult.
I* (means "Technick") can take no more than 30mins out of my day and send traffic to 4 different places.
All non adult related and can make between the 4 of them $1500 - $2000 commission a day. Not a fortune but not bad either. About 4 - 5k sales a day in total.
Takes us no time at all and allows us to build foundations.
One of the 4 places is an Oprano family members non adult proggie , I checked my stats for yesterday...2k...lovely.And the money dealing with them is as good as in the bank.
Gains no heat
Causes no waves.
Takes no time.And I can make that 2k a day on 10 -20 non adult joins a day instead of 50 -80 adult joins a day which frankly requoire more effort etc etc...
Now I'm only at a growing stage so thats not a lot of traffic, nor a great deal of money...but it is sustained and growing.I hope to regain my fullfledged whale staus in the summer.At the moment I'm merely a dolphin.
That said...
I shall not give up adult traffic totally...but from my point of view , seriously , I have never considered myself a porner (well except as a hobby ) I have always considered myself a traffic sender really.
And as a traffic sender I will send mine to where it is most profitable.

All the so called "gurus" that one sticks up in a crow's nest tend to overestimate their worth and stake their claim on past achievement rather than future glory.
3.) The Domain Whale.
A fat bloated beast that wallows in the warmest waters. This monster is related to the SE whale but takes a decent investment to catch as all the best domains have been fished up and flayed long ago. Yes, you can get traffic to sexyamateursex-fucking-orgasms-sexsexsex.com but it is like fishing for minnows with a harpoon...
