Oh my god yeah I remember.. That was a scary drive! Five thousand pounds of steel screaming through ICE and SNOW with Redlion behind the wheel! aaahhh.. Good hotel though.. I remember I won a fair bit of money in the casino. I'll have to go back and visit someday.. I enjoyed Canada. Crystal and I both did..

Your more than welcome to hang out.. this place feels like home for so many of us.. lots of history in this site and the sites that came before it. Someone mentioned the idea earlier of a timeline.. I may look into that.. I might be fun to walk down memory lane.

We have alot of really neat things in the works.. I love AEBN. The core group is made up of a bunch of very bright people. Lots of good ideas float around the table everyday. There are more good ideas than anyone could possibly do. We pick and choose and move ahead. It is a rewarding company to be involved in. Life is never boring.

I have not been keeping track of the board so I don't know how things have been lately to be honest. I see this board as it was say two years ago. That is my perspective. The sites greatest asset is the old guard in my opinion. It is to fucking hard to start new these days.. not that it can't be done but I just don't think any site should cater to the inexperienced anymore. Affiliate programs make money from the old guard not from the new up and comers. I want the old guard to call Oprano home.. or at the very least drop by on a regular basis to see what everyone else is up to. I think the companies that advertise on sites like Oprano see the value in the old timers.

I'll be honest.. I don't know what everyone else wants out of this site I just know what I want out of this site. I want a place I can personally go and talk shop with old friends who probably know what they are talking about. I want to hear opinions from people who I think have really earned the right to have an opinion. I don't have a ton of time on my hands to hang out on the boards. I can't even read some of the boards because they move so fast.. I don't want to work my way through a mountain of bullshit to get to something worth reading. I would rather read ten intelligent post a day than a hundred crap post.

I'll always drop by and say Hi whenever I can because I have some great friends here and people I am very fond of, but honestly ... I'm so burnt out on this industry these days that the idea of having to sit at my computer and wait for responses makes me want to chop my hands off. LOL

These days I live at the beach. I live healthy. I spend my days doing basic design work where I can to get by. I work on my magazine. I shoot some content. All stuff I enjoy. I just needed a rest. My priorities have changed a lot!!

But Oprano will always be my board, no matter who owns it :-)

Sounds like you are living life well CJ. I know exactly where you are coming from. I recently bought a place up in the mountains that I run away to every chance I get. I'm dealing with the adult world on my terms these days.. getting up in the morning five days a week and driving to a proper office gives me another way of turning the adult world on and off. As opposed to walking from my bedroom to my office and working for days on end. The drive is my on off switch right now. I had burn out a few years ago.. The time I spent back then was well spent but it also took its toll. I pace myself these days. I can't be in all places at all times.. I can only do so much quality work in any given day.

isn't it funny - 5 years ago we were so happy we got to work from home! Now, I look for contracts where I can work out of the clients office and its amazing how much more I enjoy being at home when I am. I hardly spend any time at my computer at home these days - although I do take the laptop to the deck and work with the sound of the ocean breaking. Sounds like you have your inland mountain version and I've got my coast version! Lets swap some time for a month!

Life is for living, not watching ;-)

Yeah I use to love working from home.. I thought of it as freedom. Then I realized that I had not left the house in a year and that I felt like I couldn't even if I wanted to. That wasn't so much fun. I'm pretty good about disconnecting these days. The world doesn't come to an end if I disappear for 24 hours.. or 48 hours. That is a nice change.. I'll take the office over the house these days. I don't see that changing.

I'm sure my wife would be very happy to swap places with you sometime!

But I agree with Aly. She's #1 on my "When I do women" list

I'm still a bit confused, but Ant and Nick are back so that makes me very happy!!

So Inabon isn't a good person?

You have no clue on email marketing, yet you say I have an alleged spam operation?

You have proof, or is this another Newbie with attitude post?

yeah inabon is a good person , and HIS business dealings have nothing to do with me anymore or my pocketbook ( nor do mine have anything to do with him ) therefore they are are of no concern to me any longer, and there is no need for me to discuss what he does or does not do in business he is a sharp guy sometimes business plans are different . you shout newbie all you want AHAHAH

you are such a veteran .. and so good and of course anyone doing any business with you knows this

I will just go to my newbie corner and have no clue and just slump a long like I have been doing .

but try to have some respect would ya for your friend and at least start a different thread to piss in rather than the one he is getting congratulated in .

BTW how is your program macdaddybucks doing? you are into some kind of billing now right instead of that ? How is the" e-mail marketing" doing for you? is it still as good as it used to be ?

and since you think you are slamming me by saying I called you to warn you that the data center would shut down . I would be glad to tell the story.

You a big customer of our data center ( wich was losing money and was buying BW at almost 200$ a Mbit then reselling it at 40$ ) not a good game plan in my eyes. ( however somehow Pedro has seemed to pull it off and I wish him the best of luck in his future and have a new respect for him for doing so however he did it ) Like I said it makes no difference to me if that was a bail out from your "e-mail marketing plan" or if it was hard work and determination by pedro with a different way to fund operations .The success or failure of that company has nothing to do with me anymore, and I have nothing but good thoughts and wishes for my old friend Pedro. I wish him a hearty congratulations on his ability to pull the data center back to a good and profitable business. ( on a pedro note he knows he or should he always has an open door with us)

I icqed and called " warned" you that the data center was in financial trouble and that I did not see how it would survive I know what a big baby you are and how much you like to run your mouth on a board when you think you got something, So considering Pedro was moving away from adult business, and Boldy and I were moving deeper into the adult business I knew we would be the one around the boards and the industry. I felt that once your servers crashed ( and how they didn't I will never know but as said before, I give a big Kudos and congratulations to Pedro and vielka for pulling that off however they did it as I know how deep in debt it was at the time and what the inner workings at the time and situation was) I assumed I would be the one to take the biggest board bashing over you losing your servers even though I was gone from the company prior to it happening. Since there was a possiblitity of us still doing business in the future and both being in adult, I did not want you to have a catastrophy and lose some as you called them " mission critical" servers for your " e-mail marketing plan" and end that relationship.

in hindsight the whole thing showed me Pedro had some smart moves up his sleeve and was sucessful at pulling the data center out of a crisis , a business decision that I was not prepared to put my focus and energy on at the time . ( his focus was solely on that, and mine was on earl Miller and making that new relationship as successful as it could be ) We were at a crossroads business wise and we made an amicable decison to split. I do not now, or have I ever had any hard feelings for Pedro.

You however took a warning, that was at the time given to you in a business desicon to be just that a warning so that you could not later say that you were not warned, or " how could I not have told you " and tried to start some bullshit with it later on ....

How petty , are you really that shallow Anthony?

You have shown me what a true piece of shit you really are. and I have seen all the proof I will ever need to, to know that.

BTW how well did Oprano do while you were running it and a mod here ?

all we saw was macdaddybucks spam all the time and a bunch of PAID posters saying the same old thing.

I will not entertain some worthless piss with you as I am far too busy on real projects to fuck with a jack ass wanna be thug like you that is all talk and watches to many mob movies. At anytime you would like to discuss things with me in person and not on a board you know how to find me and I will be at all the shows this year starting with pheonix, toronto, Vegas, florida, and Amsterdam. Otherwise feel free to rattle your useless dribble here and impress your crew . I decided to stay away from board piss a while ago, and then gonzo asked me to buy into Oprano with him when Jon was bailing out of it .
I did thinking I would make it into a true business board. I failed and found myslef pising over wether or not a newbie was important or a veteran was important, and the funny thing is the people I was pissing with call themself retired LOL . so other than political piss I will no longer piss on a board for useless shit . If you don't like me that is fine, if you do not think I am good in business that is fine . If you have something valuable business wise to offer then I am intersted in talking at anytime. But piss will no longer draw me out I am far to busy for it. I wish all that still like it, or want to watch it, all the best , and I hope they make money from it at least.

I think this move is the best thing for Oprano, I think Bishop is a smart seasoned veteran with a lot of good business to offer to people.

I have the ultimate respect for AEBN a strong proven industry veteran
and I think Gonzo also sees the value of a good newbie and will offer help in that regard.

So I think this is quite possibly the best team of ownership that Oprano has ever had.

and to bring the thread back to where it should be. I am sure that they will do everything in their power to make this a successful place once again.

you are such a veteran .. and so good and of course anyone doing any business with you knows this

Nice. Not at all my recollection. No need for me to go on about it, I believe I've made my point.

I'm with you on that all the way. I decided to revamp my sites but I'm not interested in going hog wild. If they pay for themselves, make me a little extra gravy then I’m good with that. I enjoy my sites because I’m into that lifestyle. In fact I’m making them more community portals with upsells & some member stuff.

Once I get everything operating (whenever that happens) I’ll go back to working a few hours a day and when I want to. The rest of the time I’ll talk to the pigs, ride horses through the woods & grow my own damn food. Things change & eventually you can afford to do what you want emotionally and economically.

We’ve paid our dues.

BUT I wouldn’t mind working part time for AEBN – they are now only 2 ½ hours from me! Bishop when I’m in Charlotte visiting my sister & mom I want to come there.

Final note- I love Oprano but sometimes it bores the shit out of me & other times its great. I hope the people here, we know and love stay because its the people that make it worth coming to.

I bought a 30 acre farm right over the border NC/VA. I looked all over NC outside Char where my mom and sister are. They live in Carmel area off Fairview. I even looked at a 40 acre place in SC right over the border. I kept driving and driving... I finally found this place.

I am 2 1/2 hours from Char. I am in Char a few times a month.

Do you guys shoot any content there or is it all nerd shit there? (editing, paperwork, you know)

All nerd stuff..

It is cool that you have a farm - that is a pretty area up there. I have a similar place here in the Charlotte area. Having that kind of land is nice. Next time your in town let me know and you can swing by the office to say hello. We are located between downtown and the southpark area.

Anyway, nice to see some old faces back. Congrats to you Bishop, it'll be interesting to see what happens around here now. Things certainly seemed to be going a little, erm, "stale" shall we say for a while...
