I love vodka. Vodka...Zhbrovka (i know its Polish)....whiskey( Scotch...the only whiskey)... and Tequila (Cuervo Gold...I know my taste is pedestrian but I love it).

To some of us, this is more than a gig, or a joke. This is a business. Believe it not, there are people still around from the old days. A few of us are not one hit wonders who hang on.

Hard to walk away from a biz when the $ flows in, with minimal hours of work. Just a little brain power here and there.

I just wish I was like Gonzo though, and could give people shit, yet beg for work in this industry! Too bad I do not need a job from anyone.

You may be missing the points Brad

1st - on-line porn doesn't make the same $$$$ it did just a few years ago so to maintain the income level there is a need to diversify

2nd - do you want to do porn your entire life?
Do you get bored with it?
Do you desire new vistas to conquer?
It's time for new challenges and successes
Many of the old timers are stale as it's gotten old over 7+ years

3rd - I don't see any begging going on

4th - So you don't need a (blow) job? Guess you're asexual

I make more $ than ever. I travel the world and the $ flows in faster than my hair falls out. I just log on for a few hours a day. I should get an infomercial.

People should stop whining, and realize they are washed up and look offline. Wendy's is hiring.

You still just don't get it
Sorry to hear you think Porn is all you can do

Pretty limiting

The business should be the means to an end
not the ends to a mean

What would you do if the bottom fell out of on line porn?
Got to keep that income level increasing or at the very least where it is now

gilgy - while some may disagree and others won't admit it/don't like it the big easy money in on line porn is gone

and it's to everyone's best interest to have a few other things generating revenue (If I recall and I may be wrong you posted you got in around 1999 - if so you missed the gold rush and might not understand what I'm saying)

Also just from a personal view point - porn after 7 years has gotten boring

Always good to have new challenges and new success

I agree to a a point. But opportunities like the gold rush of a few years ago do not really come along too often in any field of endeavour (well maybe more often in real estate). The trick is to make a solid reliable business out of the opportunity. It shouldn't be boogie nights. I don't think its boring. I have made a shit pot of money doing this. What I find fascinating is "business" not the product. So it has not become boring but a new challenge almost monthly. Its an interesting game. The product is fun too. The internet is still brand new. In twenty years, these first few years will be of less significance and those that hang in will undoubtedly prosper from their wealth of experience. At that point, they will literally be old timers on the internet. I see it in the professionalism of everyone I deal with from financial people, to server providers. They are all more mature and businesslike. It is a great place to be and unless you have a burning desire to do something else, I see no reason to bail if you are successful and your business is growing. My year ends have always improved. The work load is a little heavier, but the bottom line still goes up. So I have no intention of leaving for something else. Just leaving someday like most people do in any occupation.

I agree with everything you have said.

I am not bored with the internet , it is still the easiest marketing tool available but frankly on mail traffic , sending to adult is no way as profitable as others.

Why?

A.) Oversaturation
B.) most affilate programs ,especially as they watch there margins shrink, have become so fucking crooked they make me look like a saint .

I believe taking the tricks learned in the gold rush days of adult into non-adult is where the futre is.

People who whine about over saturation and bottoms falling out are living in 1999. There are still a handful of wise ones making record amounts of $. Survival of the fittest, and do not put all your eggs in one basket.

When people stop looking at porn online I will retire.

The bottom never fell out. The market just corrected and the losers lost. The competition got greater. That is not a falling sky, it is an opportunity to build a solid business if you are better than the rest. Quality is more important than ever in all aspects of retail. The public is demanding it in everything from burgers to appliances. There does seem to be an attempt by those with resources to corner the market, but I think that will ultimately fail. They are all using the same tactics under different disguises. Usually webmaster "resources" and they are a nickel a dozen. Its a brave new world that is an opportunity for anyone with imagination to make a high end living without massive investment nor training. Where else to you get it offered to you on a plate like this?

high end living my ass.

the bottom DID fell. We were not talking high end living back than,
we were talking "in and out and set for life"

try to do it nowadays with all your "wises" and well calculated plans.....

But serge, a few well calculated real estate deals can do that for you today. I have seen way too many people who are set for life come and go. I was in a business in the 60's and seventies that had way more potential profit and I saw a lot of people make a lot of money and I wonder where they are today. Of course, it was not quite as legal an enterprise.
A few of the smart guys will be set for life but I would assume that they are not posting on the boards like you and I. Why would they? They are rich, we, I guess are not.
hmmmm.....rich do not post on the boards????

what gave you this idea????

I saw Sysco president, CEO and owner posting on RagingBull invetment chat board, and he is not exactly poor. Need more names of BILLIONAIRS for me to throw at you as an examples of posters?

I see Aga posting, Lensman posting,
and those guys are not exactly poor either.

Posting is fun and a good time killer bet ween the trades
;-)))

as for "calculated real estate deals"
I saw Harry Grant losing his shirt and declaring bancrupcy on 250,000,000 project in Newark, NJ,
I saw Reichman brothers (Olympia York) going the same route in London project....

there is NO such a thing as a "safe real estate investment with no possibility to lose"

P.S. I used those names only because I know those people personally,
I'm sure there are LOTS of other stories when real estate deals went titty up

Yeah, I know who the Reichmans are. Local boys make good. Guess they should have quit while they were ahead. Don't know who aga or lensman are, but I haven't seen the Reichmans posting lately. Since you know the Reichmans personally, didn't they ever steer you into great real estate? But the point is a lot of people lose what they got because they never really earned it in the first place. They just made it. I am making an argument for quitting while you are on top. That's all.

Why?
why???

Because I have a feeling that you have no idea what are the real money were made in this industry.

no wonder you use terms like "upscale living"

what do you think the take was in 1999?
1 mil? 2 mils? 10 mils? 20 mils?

...and to make this quiz more fun,
you gotta say if I talk yearly or monthly
;-))))
