I got kicked out of Catholic school in 9th grade....
I've broken every finger on both hands at least once (excluding the thumbs) - one of them on a Nerf football in Jr High....
When I took typing in high school both pinky fingers were in splints and didn't heal properly... to this day I type on the keyboard like I'm ready for high tea - pinkies up in the air... lol

In the last few years since I hit the wall and watched my health slip away, I think I have learnt something very important ...
If you don't hit rock bottom at some point in your life, you will NEVER learn anything important about yourself.
People who have experienced complete and total despair seem to find the place in themselves where their strength comes from

This was one of the best threads I have read anywhere in a long time.
It's odd to see so many experiences like my own in these posts.
I was raised a Jehovah's Witness kicked out at 18 and went to live in my car at an amusement park. Didn't start partying at all till 18 so I was a late bloomer like Joe but I tried to catch up quick.

Both my pinkie fingers are naturally bent and the same thing happens with me. When my son was born, the first thing I noticed when I was counting fingers and toes were his bent pinkies His aren't as bad as mine as his hands are twice the site and they somehow just look a lot worse with little stubby finger :P
