Florida is great for fishing. Loved going out to the flats to catch Bonefish on a fly. Man, you know when you get a strike with those things. I also enjoyed Tarpon fishing (had a great hole near our place) and Wahoo was a fun fish.

Salmon is great eating (one of my favourites) but it's a boring fish to catch. When I lived out West, I used to take my boat to the Fraser River, set the down-riggers, and easily catch many. Just no fight at all.

When I lived on the East Coast, we'd go out in a friend's lobster boat and go hand-lining for Cod. Another fish they just laid there like a lump when it was caught! We'd fillet them back on the way to port, and have fish & chips for lunch. Mmmmm!

No, they really aren't fighting fish. You're just pulling against their weight and movement, nothing special. They aren't considered sport fish at all, except by the people trying to make money from outfitting or guiding you. We used to fish for them just because we liked to eat them so much!

I just alder smoked a nice Spring salmon fillet on the bbq. Its about 80 degrees and the rose wine is cold. The sailboats in the bay are heeled over nicely,the beach is packed with girls in bikinis, my old lady is in Paris and I just rolled a fat one. Life is good. Catfish might fight, but I'll take the salmon any day for dinner.

I just roasted a weenie over an open garbage can fire dangled from an old coat hanger.

It's fuckin hot and humid, the PBR is cold e-fuckin-nuff and the sound of an illegal drag race is in the air.

I won't eat anything that has a Crayola color named after it!

Don't eat fish...never understood fishing.
Won a sunfish contest in Boyscouts......that was the height of my fishing career.
Never understood how "fishing" was a "sport."
Seems terribly one sided. Very boring...sitiing there waiting for a fish to be hungry enough to bite the hook.

I like things that go "Moo."
No pretense there....line 'em up, kill'em, and hang 'em
(Was a little to close to that process as a young man, and don't need to do that anymore. I'll buy it after it gets into the Butcher's case.)

Went to a fancy beer/steak place last night. 15 beers on a little mat to "sample." All tasted like beer, with different stuff mixed in. Came out, still not liking beer.
Brisket was good, though. Still like a nice piece of beef!
