Wasnt this part of what Hooper was boasting about having in place . . . while in the meantime hes got people off using Zango?

I remember people using the pixel trick to scam each other back during the "wars" in '95 and '96!

I used something similar to track e-mail campaigns (legitimate marketing!!!).

I had an img src tag that called a script on the server - it tracked IPs, message IDs, etc.. I could see how a message was forwarded (viral), how many opens, how many views of the flash movie inside, etc.. very fun stuff.
