Ah, but it didn't. It may have helped continue the demise of AM radio (although it is still breathing) but FM radio is still strong and healthy and Satellite radio appears to be making good progress.

As long as personal transportation exists and the control of it is in an individual's hands there will be a strong radio market

open mouth radio is alive and well on the am band. I drove across America from Washington to Michigan and redneck radio is strong as ever.
