South Florida HIV Testing

First I am going to set the stage:

Go here to read the industry HIV testing standards (It's the best we've got to work with)

According to AIM tests are good for 30 days. (I know the arguments and it is true that a model/actor/actress could have contracted HIV 10 minutes before the shoot)

(Precautions are taken by ZMASTER staff such as latex gloves during clean up etc... and not getting sexually involved in the scene is always a good choice.)
#1 Solo girls/guys don't have to be HIV tested on our shoots 'cause they aren't having sex with an infected party (unless they've got HIV and then it's too late to prevent it.).
#2 Couples who are already sexually active with each other also do not require testing, 'cause they're already doin' the wild thing. These include girl/girl, boy/girl, trannies etc.... They could be husband and wife or not as long as I am not a matchmaker on the set.
#3 Everyone else gets tested PCR/DNA HIV

That said this testing is not perfect and it is time sensitive as pointed out in another thread: HERE
But it's the best we've got and we have a conscience.

O.K. here goes.
ZMASTER was contracted to do some gangbang scenes by a large respected adult Internet company. We had gotten heavily into the fetish stuff over the years and hadn't done any gangbang scenes for a while, this is an important point to make since all of our shoots lately have been with solo models or pre-exsisting couples for quite some time. (No manditory HIV tests, no matchmaking)

I went through 40+ male actors/models in the South Florida area and interviewed them, most of these are guys who were workin' steadily on XXX video shoots with multiple partners and gangbangs in Miami (on a weekly basis) and had references and knew the right people (so to speak)

"ONLY 5 GUYS HAD CURRENT HIV TESTS" (3 of those had PCR/DNA HIV tests) a few guys had out of date tests that they wanted to use as proof of HIV- to shoot and 3 guys were waiting for their results (they later produced the results).

Since ZMASTER requires and makes copies of HIV tests for non-partners I assumed the other producers did too. Well I was wrong to assume.

Basically finding tested talent was a nightmare!!!!! I have since sent shitloads of people for testing in Fort Lauderdale if they want to work.

The same is true of the female models/actresses.

Manditory testing is imperfect but I'm sure it has prevented the spread of HIV as opposed to no HIV testing whatsoever which seems to be the current state of affairs.

There is little to no testing in Miami. But then again who cares about Miami? We have shot there many times, with condoms.

Miami is not the only fucked up place I'm betting, Brad!!! If they wear rubbers in Miami they'd better wear them in Canada too.


It will only take the content producers to say get a fuckin' test or you don't work to straighten it out.

PCR/DNA HIV tests are the same in South Florida as anywhere else, the problem is people that haven't taken the test shooting porn scenes.

Exactly.
If it comes to a choice between working or not working, they'll get the test.
The photographer could even go so far as to say "you must have a current test from one of the labs on this list" (and provide a list of local testing labs) so that they reduce the likelihood of forged papers.
