I believe the affiliate front will grow in leaps and bounds. It’s going to be more difficult for small webmasters to meet the Visa demands. No doubt most of you are looking towards the future in diversifying billing and affiliate options.

Do you have a new strategy for the future as a result of this or is it business as usual?

I’ve asked this question a few times with no reply and it’s really important for me because Niche Cartel will be having it’s grand opening Jan. I’d like to enhance my sites and take amore serious approach to my affiliate strategy.

If an affiliate send traffic to my signup page and I have several processors there, won’t they only get credit for the processor that’s ID’ing and tracking them? Or do you use one and direct all your affiliate traffic to a separate set of join pages?

I will admit that this area I’m weak in.

If you are selling affiliate traffic what do you look for before you promote a site?

If you are a program, what is your strategy for promoting new webmasters?

Thanks!

Well, it seems like we've come full circle in the business...used to be content was king, then traffic was king and now maybe it looks like content is king again...

we've been busy acquiring smaller sites like Gothic Amateur, Blood-Dolls and Nakkid Nerds and are helping these great little original sites expand their customer base. These are sites that are retaining members for 6-8 months instead of the usual 2-3 months (if that) of the megasites....I think the smaller sites that can handle the Visa fees will do quite well as long as they concentrate on doing what they do best: produce great, orioginal content....

the "reality" sites are doing quite well and really popular with the surfers now...the rumor of Dark Dollars doing a reality site based upon picking up goth girls in a cememtary with a hearse are unfounded...so far.... ))))

If you have mulitple processors the affiliates can get paid and you can increase your revenue by 30% plus if you use cascading billing...the affiliates actually end up with more money that way!! We use it and have seen an increase in both affiliate payouts and overall revenue....I would advice it 100%

What exactly do you mean by cascading billing?

How do I do that kind of billing?

I want to go back to using Ibill with my own merchant account and ACH Debit for checks.

I'll use Revshare and do the account here in my office. We're much better at it and it gives us more hands on with our affiliates.

One example of cascading billing. I've heard different opinions on it, but some people say it's lousy, some people swear by it. Just like any other thing in this business I guess. Using at least 1 backup processor is necessary of course. If you have your own merchant I'd never opt for using a 3rd party as primary though.

The concept is good but they don't include IBill.

I need to think about this.

Wig said they are releasing a new script for their ACH solution that will let you piggy back a CC processor. I think I'll wait and try that. I want to do Ibill and AchDebit, I'd like to find a dialer and some way to bill Europe & Asia.
