What Is A Fair Price?

I know many of you buy content and others are content providers, so I hope that I can get some good advice from all of your experience.

I am interested in licensing some content to ONE other person. The content would consist are about 30-45 min. of video and 5-6 picture sets per girl. Most would be solo girl, and girl-girl, with a little boy-girl in the mix.

All content is quality digital, shot with good cameras, lights, and lenses. All of the girls would be 18-22.

There would be about 8 girls in the deal.

What do you think would be a fair price for such semi-exlcusive content?

Plugger - there is something you are leaving out of the equation
What is the quality of the product - both image and video quality and the overall attractiveness of the models

all photos will be shot by me on my 1978 poloroid one step,
and the camcoder my dad used to have that is shoulder mounted
and weighs about 42 pounds.

All the girls are super hot, if you don't mind a few warts here and there

Vick,

Everything is shot with a Cannon GL2 for video, Canon D30 or D60 with a Canon L-series lens, all properly lit with softboxes, good white balance, exposure, etc.

The girls, IMHO, are all attractive, on the younger side, 18-22, no crack whores. All with good make-up, not overly done, or too Vogue like. More natural, girl-next-door kind of looks. Like the girls you would see at my sites

Also, they will not be well known and plastered all over the net (I think that is a bonus).

It also depends on your expenses, and the hassles - if you are not into selling content regularly and its a headache there is a sir charge....

One reason I never got into selling my content was the headache, we are not set up for it....

Like Mike and Vick said there are many variables to consider. Are you going to be bearer of records and take the heat of showing them if this guys site gets "investigated"?

If it's a one time deal and he would be the only other site...other than yours...and he really has to have it....charge him well...

The deal would be forever, webrights only. One other person/company only (I guess the number of domains would need to be determined). Copies of IDs and all Title 18 records and Model Releases included.

MikeAI, I do not want a to be a content provider either, and sell sets here and there. That is not my deal. I do, however, plan to shoot alot this year. I figure, I like exclusive, but one other license out there cannot hurt too much. But what is it worth to others?

All of the above video was shot by me, but the pictures by another photog. There were a few white balance probs here (because of shooting with 2 cameras, that won't happen again). Thanks man, this is the stuff I shoot in Budapest. Someone wanted to buy it, so I figured I could do one other license, but I got find out what it is worth . . . I figure at least $1000/girl?

nice stuff. $1,000 is MINIMUM what you should get for that. Go check out the prices people out of Czech Republic are charging for similar girls, similar stuff. If only TWO companies are going to have it, it's practically exclusive.

The other thing to consider is how big is the company you're going to sell it to. If it's a BIG company it dilutes your site's exclusivity so they should pay more probably than a small site which might have 1,000 members and a small affiliate program.

how did you arrange for the models in Hungary? Some kind of adult talent agency?

Thanks for your input, Mutt. I got set-up in Hungary because I shot a Hungarian model in LA. She started a talent agency, contacted a photographer we worked with and we decided to give it a shot. It was a great trip, we ended up starting a new site with the content and I plan to go back several times this year.

I am also working on trying to get to Argentina, but that is another story . . .
