Wow....
I've been migrating drives for years. My stack of drives waiting for a home is getting high. How do you guys move all the data from machine to machine? To me, that's always the biggest nightmare to the eventual, and necessary machine upgrade. I usually, slowly, move into the new machine....bit by bit.

Well, it turns out the power plug and the data hd plug on the ribbon are some new fangled configuration on the Vista, so I could not do what I wanted. I ended up installing the drive to another XP machine that I use for DVD authoring. No biggy, just not the machine I now use the most. I recovered the artwork I needed and the music DVD's and CD's have been mailed. I hate getting behind on my orders. I have about 3 other hard drives I need to pull from some old machines and recover some content too.
Thanx for the replies. It's all good now.
