Free Porn Will Destroy the Net

I had another though on this.....
You guys aren't gonna like it, but unfortunately, it's true.
Free internet porn is a reality that will only get "more so."
There has always been a division in the adult industry.....the "old porn," and the "web porn" people.
The "Old Porn" people made movies/videos in the 80's, and continued into the 90'/00's.
They followed the same pattern....early on, $89.98 retail for porn videos back in 1985, till sometime in the 90's where you could get DVD's DELIVERED (Wholesale) for less than $1
Compilations of 7 hours for a $1. Etc. etc. Now, they essentially release "recycled porn" for the cost of shipping, only to embed it with 1-900 number commercials.
Over time, the content became VERY cheap. They understood this.

Now comes "the internet." Wow! On tap porn, filtered and sorted to your liking. Get it on the PC without having the "evidence" laying around. Dazzled everyone. And now, guess what....? About 10 years old, the same cycle is happening.

You can argue about it all you want, but it's a cycle. This has all happened before, and it will happen again.

There are several reasons the cycle has lasted a bit longer, but this too, shall pass.

Free anything on the Net will change the way it's used and operated. That's for sure. How is the thing we are all guessing at. Me included and the guys who quote Y2K as a "Let's not bother." strategy are the ones who will suffer the worse.

So how do I think it will go?

Most paysites are filling with porn that's not worth $3 let alone $30. So the $30 membership model is under threat for most. Those that have a site worth $30 for 30 days will survive, those that don't will not. The surfers are not sheep and you can lead a horse to water. But you can't make him dive in.

What that will do to the affiliate system is anyones guess, but I do not believe the surfers are prepared to support our out dated model.
