Diamond Jim Remains Free Pending Appeal

I talked to Greg about this case. I cant reveal too much, but from what he told me, the lawyers that handled this case at trial level were not adult industry specialists, nor did they know obscenity law.

Amazingly this case was heard upstairs at the same courthouse and the same time as the JM case in Phoenix with two completely different results.

The best lessoned learned. If you are looking at possible prison time, break open the piggy bank, mortgage the house - but get one of the industry attorneys that have handled criminal prosecutions for adult clients.

Its money well spent as these 2 defendants are now learning.

There are some EXCELLENT industry attorneys. If it were me, and I count my blessings every day it isn't, I'd hire Paul Kent Snowsell. He defended Steve Sweet in Vancouver on obscenity charges and won.

He is only one of a select few I'd bet my freedom on.

I am to pretty to go to jail...and so is Diamond Jim.

I hate to see anything happen to Jim. Back in 1999, we were working with DHD and Carol had to go to LA for a few days on business with them (I stayed home to babysit). Jim and his wife (gf?) took great care of Carol, showing her the sites and taking her to dinner.
