For me, I have songs associated to books, because when I read a book I had a tape/cd on repeat...

REM's "Shiny Happy People" and "Losing My Religion" George Benson's "On Broadway" On a different but related note every time I'm in my car on the highway and the song "Flirtin With Disaster" from Molly Hatchet comes on I invariably look down at my speedometer during the song to find I am all of s sudden going over 90+ MPH.

James Taylor is an incredible singer and so is Gordon Lightfoot and no I don't have albums from TherCarpenters or Bread. I do, however, have John Denver albums that I greatly enjoy listening to!!
As well as Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, The Grateful Dead, The Eagles, U2, and a whole messload of other stuff!

Oh, and yes I do like the Beatles... just not nearly as much as the aforementioned band. And Elvis crushes the Beatles anyways! They don't call him "The King" for nothing.
