That's good - I was scared to find out what you might want to do to people who have physical challenges. Are the fucking gimps as inconvenient as the weakling nancies? I don't recall saying anything about not selling perfume or peanut butter, or saying anything that could be remotely construed as suggesting same by anyone not off on some kind of emotional tangent (most likely "I'm getting old/cranky old man" syndrome - you know, the one that starts out "These kids today are pussies...") Do I think that some places (schools, employers, government offices) go too far? Yes. Do I think that for every child out there who actually suffers from an allergy, there are nine (or nineteen) malingering parents hovering in the background? Undoubtedly. By the time kids get out of school they have undoubtedly developed a number of coping skills that will facilitate their entry into the real world. Making some accomodations for them while they are undergoing that process is nothing more than an inconvenience for others.

Not having anyone in school even visiting wear perfume or cologne is an accomodation?
And then what? One day they go on the bus and freak out because they can't get used to it? What happens when they go to the Mall, as all kids do. Is the perfume squirting hordes going to know this kid has been kept in a social bottle and not to approach? No, this crap is way too far. I remember the psychological discussions of "what about when my kid wants to touch the burner, I don't want him to get hurt" scenario that's brought up now and then. And they pretty much say, you have a choice, if you keep not letting the child learn now, they will learn it later, and the burn will be bigger, and they might not be around to receive treatment. Guess what? Life is unfair. They shouldn't have 16 years or whatever of being sheltered from that, they will come out babbling lunatics. I totally disagree they will "learn" something by never having experienced it. Your point makes no sense there. And as to my remark about pushing off a cliff was ... it what it was: An extreme opposite of this cuddling bubble shit; as extreme in it's "equal and opposite" nature to the bullshit I was hearing.
