I saw an interview with Nagin when they asked about all the school buses and he pointed out that having the buses wasn't a problem - finding 250 people to DRIVE them was another issue......but that was what he said - my Dad said he could learn to drive one in 5 minutes

I still stick with my feelings that most of the people who stayed in NOLA did so because they didn't WANT to leave, not because they couldn't. Which is fine, I have no problem with that. But don't come bitchin' later!

So you will stick to your "feelings" despite vast evidence supporting the fact the majority of these people had no way out and thus what you "feel" is totally incorrect?

I've not seen "evidence" to support one thought or the other. Just a bunch of people screaming "Why weren't they here to help us?". I sure did see a lot of cars floating around though. Part of me has to think they had owners somewhere

Honestly, I think there's blame to go around from the citizens to local government to FEMA. I don't think one group/person did something wrong, it was a culmination of everything.

And I, by the way, learned to drive on a stick...and stayed driving one. An accomplishment of which I am rather proud as it is indeed so rare.

Mr. "I'm Old School and Fuck Y'all" has a tendency to still use the multiple chin punctuation smiles that were popular "back in the day." The number of parentheses (chins) on the smilie indicated the intesisty of the humor.

The above was offered as explanation for novice webmasters that I *know* are reading this board and muttering "what the hell is *that*?" a lot.
