I'm going to try and prepare you for this, Vick, as much as you can be prepared.
For a long time, birthdays and holidays were easy. Go to the toy department with a list. Purchase. Come home and wrap.
Then...that first Christmas when the toy department wasn't involved at all.
What a shocking bummer that was.
My husband and I just looked at each other, feeling old.
The good news, for me anyway, is that it came back. The youngest has the world's largest Tigger collection and my middle child is hooked severely on "Hello Kitty." I got to buy toys again!!!!
Having three girls, I don't know how it goes with boys.
I'm currently bummed that I don't have to buy school supplies, but luckily, there is a place to go - I have to find the bookmark - where an Indian Nation is desperate for school supplies so I can get my "buying crayons for kids" fix.
