For those who don't know, it was *THE* hockey contest between Canada and the USSR. An 8 game series with 4 games held in Canada, and 4 in Russia. The study showed that all the Canadian players involved in that series all eventually went on to retire quite nicely as rich men, while the Russian players (save one or two) went on to live much less than wealthy and comfortable lives, with a handful of them even ending up broke and penniless. Relative indeed.
