They have pussified basic training

Might have been an apples and oranges situation I posted above. But the point remains... If you have a choice of

A) Being 10 miles behind 5,000 soldiers who were trained with 'etiquette' in mind and still have all the same basic training.

Being 10 miles behind 5,000 soldiers who were trained by the biggest fucking asshole Drill Seargent you have ever met in your life that would pull you up by the neck collar if you stopped running 80% of the way througha 20 mile walk... along with other 'unnecessary brutality'

Who would you pick then, and this is a perfect example of why I feel the way I do... If I sign, I expect to go through 20 times the pain I did in Hell Week my freshman year lol ... Just the way things are. You are joining the army to become a fighter.

Should we have seperate platoons? The ones who only went there for the benfits and the ones that fight like they are convicts escaping a jail and don't give a damn about dying? Which group would live longer if so ?

There's a reason that type of treatment is given, that's the bottom line. To prepare the men..
