It was more of an issue of how the right thinks that most media outlets are very liberal in nature. CBS (Dan Rather) for example.
It was speculated that his retractions had a lot to do with conflicting political interests between the administration, and the network. They also touched on how Bush now uses the phrase "homicide bomber" in stead of "suicide bomber", and how Fox News immediately picked that phrase up and use it themselves in all newcasts where it applies.
