Most of the boards that are of a similar theme as Weasles serve only one purpose imho, as a marketing tool, nothing more, nothng less.

The problem is, for many of the companies who do buy ad space on boards, those are the numbers they look at and, because they have never ran their own forum, they dont realize how easy it is to manipulate the templates in these forum scipts.
@ $1k per show plus only 10% of any advertisers Gary or I bought into the radio show (YNOT ate the other 90%) it just wasnt a viable business option for us.

I thought a while ago all the resources/boards were going to start working together... Why is it so taboo to mention another forum.. I mean we have gfy where if you add another board url it turns into hahahahaha.com. I'm sure not everyone has ALL the info people need so whats the issue with that? Do people really think if someone gives them a peek at another site they will run from yours and leave forever??
And I won't even touch the pay-per-post model, I have vented many times on that biz model for an adult forum. Lets just say I think it's more counter productive than it's worth..

Have I been flying an ANS sig on just about every major forum in this biz? Yes
I am always willing to do any cross promo with any resource that wants to, and believe maybe if some followed suit we may be better off as a whole. I tried to take the first step hoping others would follow by running a very long standing radio show on the YNOT radio network still braneded as a Netsurprise show. Seems nobody took the lead. One of my missions in Vegas will be to see who is willing to work together and who wants there own sandbox that nobody else can play in. Once I have that figured out I'll be thinking up some great ways to do promotions with the ones that want to get rid of the "it's mine go away" mentality. Nick has been great in this and I look forward to working with Oprano in the very near future.
Can you tell this is a touchy subject with me? LOL This is by far the longest post I have made in ages...
As far as the numbers.. It's slow accross the board, people are xmas shopping etc and it will pick back up like it always does...
To answer your questions Nick, FM has retired from CE Cash and ompi is running things now. ANS is doing fine and will continue to grow. I hope we can all make 2005 a better year. TheButcher is a nice guy I have spoken to him on a few occasions and look forward to having a drink with him in Vegas.
Now I will comit a major sin and say.... "See Sig" Nick I am not trying to be an ass here just getting sick if the "we need to work together" crap and nothing ever comes of it.. Get on the ball people sponsors are paying 5 digits for a fucking sig when IMO that should be going to professional advertising. IE us!! So we definately need to make the boards/resources a place where sponsors want to be rather than in some post whores sig...

Im with you on the whole 'working together' thing.
A year or two ago i tried putting a contest together in co-ordination with ARS Resources and our resource network for all of the boards to submit a team of their regular posters for a general knowledge / fun weekly quiz.
Out of all of the boards i emailed asking if they were interested in doing this on a regular basis, only ANS, Oprano, Porn Resource and Netpond bothered to reply.
Needless to say, the contest never happened.
We should be working together with the boards that offer some foundation of business information on them however, with the bullshit boards popping up more and more over the last 12 months, its looking like the industry is going to catering more towards the freeloaders who want to win shit than those of us who are interested in business.
Of course as i mentioned earlier, these BS boards do offer us a good marketing tool, you can pretty much guarantee that a duplicate post on the 3 main ones will get you traffic, from that point of view it becomes a positive on a time management objective.. as many 'eyes' viewing your message in as short amount of time possible.

Oprano had already cobranded with AEBN on a radio platform months before you took the first step in working with Ynot. Ive been asked over and over why didnt we choose to work with Ynot.
When we looked at taking that "first step" they wanted to charge us to run a radio show. So the decision was quite simple. We actually investigated the option of turning www.webmastertv.com into a reality but at the time, it was going to clash with the launch of Alytv so we put that on the back burner lol
