Peaches, no, not at all. I wish we could all sell porn with nothing but words and suggestion... that ain't the issue.
Mike was one of the people big all over CCBill in the day for hosting "non nude model" sites, which featured many girls under 18 in sexy poses, the legality of which is another debate.
Most of the major NN sites out there link and promote these "younger" girls. Every one I have every had submitted to me was one click away from a "molly model" site or "teen nudist" sites.
Just wondering if this is a good marketing tool or just another shimmy down the slope...

Alex, the NN scene is super clean now.
nearly all of the borderline KP stuff is gone (unfortunately, there are a few who still want to walk that line, but they seem to have disappeared from the scene).
I was also very critical of it in the day, but I see that it has been cleaned up and I'm seeing a lot of amazing numbers submitting non-nude galleries, sites, etc.
IMO, if you call it softcore you think of nudes with no pinkage. Call it censored and you think of starred or blurred nipples and/or pinkage and/or penetration. They're called non-nude tours because, quite frankly, that's what they are. I've not ever heard the semi-clothed description for tours and galleries, but I have seen and heard hundreds of webmasters over the past few months looking for NN galleries and tours and talking about how well they convert for sites that aren't even close to KP.
We are marketing NN tours to webmasters. Webmasters who have specifically been asking for non-nude tours and galleries. Webmasters who hopefully know that Purecash doesn't involve itself in anything that even might be misconstrued as KP.

Alex, I disagree.
The original non-nude people would put up models who were UNDER 18, and have them dress like adults in skimpy outfits. Mnay times these girls were 12-14, and processed by CCBill.
Today's non-nude marketplace is much different.
We are offering non-nude tours for webmasters to promote, the sites are still the normal sites - members areas are the same.
Some people will only send traffic to these type of sites - find out what the requirments from Hustler to get on their exit consoles. They are extremely strict.
There are also a bunch of link lists, TGPs, and other resources that only link to non-nude tours. By building these tours it alows or webmasters to target these resources for traffic.
Alex, surely you know me well enough to know my stances on critical issues like this.... At the time the under age thign as going on, I was the most vocal critic of them and CCBill or processin for them.

CJ you make a good point about terms, but I think we should take back the term from the CP scum.
ALL models we shoot, including some we are shooting for future non-nude sites are over 18.
Sometimes it is easier recruiting models when they do not get nude. Not every chick is ready to take off their clothes for the camera. Plus we pay models less as well for doing non-nude.
If you can come up with a better term, I am all ears.

Mike, I am sorry, but you cannot "take back" a term that has been attached to the KP marketplace for so long. Even most of the current adult webmasters who have developed NN sites do so with models that are hard to determine age on. They are not doing mature NN. They are doing teen NN, they avoid talking about age on the websites, and let it play to pedophiles preferences. Many of the sources of traffic, the NN top lists and such end up usually one click from true KP.

Alex, you should know me better. There is a distinct group of NN webmasters that have NOTHING to do with KP. My stance has always been clear on these issues.

while we haven't gone non-nude on our tours yet, we have added non-nude galleries to our hostedgalleries and while they aren't used as much as the regular galleries, the ratios are much better
the tour for our busty site is softcore as is most fo the content inside of the site, so it does very well with NN traffic.
CJ, your Celebrity site would be HUGE in the NN scene. I bet it would be one of the top converting sites out there because your type of site fits the NN mold perfectly

Opti, I didn't look at the tours, because I don't have a purecash account and the links were not posted here to see. That is why I asked Mike to do so. The tours he posted are a mixed bag. Some of them clearly state the model is over 18 in the promo stream of the site (not in a disclaimer or 2257 notice, but actually in the text the end user might read), but the Sweet Little Blonde one certainly didn't seem to want to mention her age. It's all marketing, I know, but I could mistake her for being under 18.

Sorry, NonNude is a KP indicator keyword, and marketing non nude with teen models is playing very close to the out of bounds line in my mind.

firstly, let me say DUH - of course we all know mike & the purecash crew are not involved in KP in any way .... I don't recall anyone saying they did, or accusing them of that. The thought never even crossed my mind ...
the points that are being made by Alex and myself are that the term NON NUDE belongs to KP .... period. you can't take a term back, reclaim it, change its meaning ... i'm not going to go through search engines and sites and point out the borderline nature of the niche - when I raised the point about evil chris's site, Little April, being borderline I was told to get over it ... and yet I had a site with a pic of Lindsay Lohan's panties on it and was jumped on from all sides.
When you pick up a copy of FHM, does it say 'non nude'?
What about Maxim or any of the other 'skin' mags that specialize in tease? If they did it they would be jumped on, imagine what would happen if the media got ahold of the porn industry doing it? Don't we have enough to fight against?

It always makes me laugh how pornographers think they've found gold when they finally get something that mainstream has always done ...
