Fashion Advice for Over 50 Crowd

Many of us "Old Folks" (those over 50, WAY over 50 or hovering near 50) are quite confused
about how we should present ourselves. We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting
and whether or not we are correct as we try to be nice and conform to the fashions that the
designers in NYC, California, and/or Paris inflict upon the world.
So I made a sincere study of the situation and here are the results.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following
combinations DO NOT go together and thus should be avoided:

1. A nose ring and bifocals

2. Spiked hair and bald spots

3. A pierced tongue and dentures

4. Miniskirts and support hose

5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads

6. Speedo's and cellulite

7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar

8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor

9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge

10. Bikinis and liver spots

11. Short shorts and varicose veins

12. In-line skates and a walker

Please keep these basic guidelines foremost in your mind when you shop.

I laugh when I see 60ies-70ish men at nude beaches, naked as a Jay Bird, EXCEPT they keep their dark knee-high business socks and wing tips on....

If I made a post - and I will accept your intention as one of being humorous - that mentioned your children, would you see the humor, or only the mention of your children? (Please remember that I am perfectly willing to ruin your reputation of being a thorough shit by describing what you are like with those wonderful children. I've witnessed it. 12. In-line skates and a walker

I owe you an apology, and hereby deliver it, Nick.

You have an excellent memory. That photo was taken late one night after my daughter, then a teenager, decided to give me a "Goth" look. (I looked like a PTA vice-president wearing white-face, I'm afraid.) That photo was for years the only digital photograph of me in existance. It was in the Netpond photo album. And, yes, she did indeed post on Netpond. She was old enough to make adult sites, but not old enough to handle working for or with her mother, I'm afraid, and the poor kid cracked under the strain. She still gets a kick out of telling her friends that her mother is "Morgan Grayson." She had a few friends that recognized the name, having been to my sites. They were most impressed. I was mortified beyond all endurance and felt like getting under the bed for a month or two.

I'm touched you remember.

The rest of you are free to vomit now, should it be necessary.
