I used to go to the range with my dad when I was a kid, and he was always very careful and taught me (in no uncertain terms) how guns should be handled... I think that is of utmost importance if you're going to have guns in the house.
I haven't shot a gun in years, but I would love to do some target shooting. I was quite good when I was a kid.
