er... thats been my point exactly. we are forming opinions based on assumptions of a writers explaination of an event.

Actually, the teacher who put this together should be fired for trying to something educational during a football field, because last thing we want associated with football is education

again, you are making the same argument. "its a part of history" - "its education" etc etc. I can also show an aborted fetus to a group of 8 year olds and claim its "education" - however, some would argue the appropriateness of that act based on a variety of considerations.

its fine to say "i dont see anything wrong with that" - I might agree. But to defend that argument simply by saying that "its just a part of history" etc etc, is no stronger than the arguments of those saying its innapropriate for their own reasons.
