Is there any particular reason a person would want to be paid by paypal?
I wonder if people who want paypal payments raise red flags to fraud managers for programs....

Getting paid via paypal is handy for those of us who live outside the US, yet have a US presence. No wire transfer fees..but none of my sponsors currently pay me that way and it's no big deal. But PayPal saves me huge hassles in PAYING my bills. All my feeds, hosting, etc. gets paid through them.
Maybe that person has a foreign PayPal account. Who knows. Oh, and PayPal isn't legally a bank, though they may have to report like one. That's why you can't get a checking account with them. Edited for typos. Last edited by originalheather at Feb 27 2003, 09:41 AM |

If you live outside the US, you have to pay to cash a check/wire and you get hit with a bad exchange rate, and if it's a check, sometimes you have to wait two weeks for it to clear.
Then, when you buy content, hosting, traffic or anything else in US$ you get hit again with an exchange rate difference. Using paypal none of that happens. |
