Thanks to Oprano and all of the sponsors for what has been a very entertaining contest. Also, thanks to Mutt for running the game.

I really liked the format this year. In previous years, I've played a few weeks, found myself hopelessly out of contention and quit. I might've done the same this year as I was fighting hard to maintain 80th place around week 5. However, the weekly prizes made it worthwhile to stop in and make picks every week. And damned if I didn't slide into contention these last few weeks with some luck even though I didn't win a single week.

I'm not gonna talk smack even with it sewed up. Picking against the spread in today's NFL involves as much luck as skill. I wonder how many of the weekly prizes were won on random picks? I'm guessing a few...

wow the battle for 2nd place is going to go right down to the Monday night tiebreaker. howardperkiss and CTNelson are tied for second, one ahead of Steve. howard and CT have the same last two picks, Steve differs on one game. So it could be a three way tie for second place. Winner decided by the Monday night tie breaker!

2nd prize is great too - $750.00 , Nintendo GameCube from Sexy AVS and a nice dedicated hosting prize from M3Server.

KarenFold made out like a bandit this year - she won a weekly championship and now adds $750.00 plus a dedicated hosting prize from Mach10 hosting.

HellPuppy cleans up - $1,500.00 Cash, $1,000 in work from AAA Adult Design, an XBOX and Madden 2003 from SitePass AVS and a private dinner invitation from Serge and Mike in Las Vegas.

This is really killing me now because I've been looking forward to Vegas for weeks. And as of this moment I absolutely have to be in Atlanta next week instead of Vegas to take care of some business. So this only pours salt into the wound. I'm not kidding when I say that's the prize I was most looking forward to.

I'm going to see if I can change that, but with a holiday in the middle of this week, I'm not optimistic.

Congrats to all the winners and with the Bucs covering the spread if I did my math right it looks like a three way tie for second with Steve winning 2nd place by virtue of the lowest MNF tie breaker average.

It was an enjoyable crazy season and I can't wait for the playoffs to start as there should be some extremely competitive games. Well I'm off to lick my wounds and maybe knock back a few to drown out the sorrow of being so close yet so far away. Thanks for all the fun Oprano

CTNelson i'm not sure that's the way we were going to break the tie for 2nd place. I was thinking it would come down to tomorrow night's game tie breaker. So all three of you would have a shot.

IF St louis covers---we both picked them then your total is 37 and mine
is 39. A tie happens if she ends at 38. 37 and under you win. 39 and
over I win. I guess if SanFran wins then it is a 3 way tie and Steve
also picked 37 points total. So it all comes down to the total. 38 and
San Fran and its a 3 way tie---wow...
