Well.. no offense but lawyers can at times file shit just to file shit to delay stuff. If, and that's a big if, what they are saying is true I would have no problems with it. I'll be the first to admit if I was a lawyer I'd push the boundaries as far as I could but I also think it's it's good that they get a wake up call from time to time if they try and get a bit too inventive in a manner that is a blatantly a tactic to delay and mess with the process and nothing more.
