Its not quite the same as when he tells it, but this was one of his funniest....

Two hillbillies buy an airplane and decide to fly it to Charlotte. As they approach the airport, the hillbilly pilot tells the hillbilly co pilot to drop the flaps ten degrees. As they get closer the pilot says the runway is a bit short, drop the flaps 20 degrees. They are just about to land and the pilot screams, full flaps, this runway is the shortest runway in the world. They screech to a halt at the edge of the tarmac and the pilot breathes a sigh of relief and starts bitching about how short the runway is for a busy airport like Charlotte. The hillbilly co pilot looks out the window and says "it may be short, but it sure as hell is wide.
