I don't see anything wrong with pampering yourself, male or female.
A man with a manicure gives me the impression of a man secure with himself, concerned about his appearance, and in an upper tax bracket.  Defiant's mother gave him a gift of a facial, shave and haircut one year and he loved it even though he originally thought it was a little too metro sexual.
