They are filtered. You can buy either filters that you roll right in the paper, or you can buy tubes which look more like what come in a packaged box but you fill them with a special tube filling machine.

I just roll the filters right into the cig with the tobacco. Little zig zag rolling machine makes it easy and roll the same size every time.

Good thing I work on the computer and don't need to walk across the room tho...

(That last part was an attempt on my part, once again, to justify me killing myself slowly. Denial is such a grand affair.)
