Oprano Cookies?

I'm just needing a heads up on how Oprano stores user info on things like unread threads and last replies to viewed threads and such. Is it a cookie or IP against a database?

I ask because my setup here is for 5 pc's all sharing the same IP, so every time my better half drags her ass over here and starts viewing, we both lose all unread threads and last replies to viewed threads.

Plus even when we're both reading the same thread only 1 of us shows at the bottom...

Apart from getting another IP(pain in the ass) or killing the cow(not such a pain in the ass) is there another way?

If not I'll just sit and suffer
