This thread reminded me of something. I forget what college year it was but one semester, school began. Two days of class. Third day I got pneumonia. Was out two weeks. Thought I was fine, rushed (apparently) back in. Three days of class. Back home with a relapse. Once bitten, twice shy. Waited two and an additional half week this time. Go back to school. Midterms were starting! Had to drop every class I had. Became the semester that never was. An early lesson in "haste makes waste" and "good intentions" and such.
