We can't have a farewell party without reminiscing & sharing memories ... and we wouldn't have memories if it weren't for the people who make them ..... YOU!
So here it is ... my 'Farewell Oprano Top 10 Memories' ... What are yours?! Favorite Pearl of all time? The most outstanding moron/anon? Best Oprano gathering? Best Confucy rant? Best business relationship you have developed @ Oprano? Friends who became enemies and enemies who became friends? Most memorable feature of flat board? Webmaster who has grown the most? Favorite Oprano ad campaign? All time best piss? Favorite Pearl of all time? I have 2 & they both summarize Oprano and everything it has stood for and achieved. " All the dumb webmasters on the internet, all put together, on a good day can get you as much traffic as you get from ONE good smart webmaster. " - ScottPB " Number 1 rule in business, partner with class acts, who are big time and make things happen. " - Mike AI The most outstanding moron/anon? HEQDVD until Grogan came along ... Best Oprano gathering? The first PHB - I laughed the entire evening. I have never been so surprised or embarassed as I was when walking to the stage to collect 'Most Shaggable Webmistress' plaque. Dravyk and I were sitting with JackieB - I thought it was Ironic being that I'd not had sex in almost a year. I tried to swap with Dravyk for 'Webmaster who got laid the least' award. At the same show, KK was slumming with weasel and won the best couple award, Tonda was the biggest bitch and Serge the biggest asshole. Close 2nd was dinner at Serge's with Wig - It would have been the best but Serge wouldn't let us smoke a J ;-))) Best Confucy rant? The ones where you can tell she doesn't even believe the things she's saying but keeps talking because its so easy to bait people. Best business relationship you have developed @ Oprano? The key being 'developed' at Oprano ... most of my relationships here have been brought from other boards but if I had to pick the best oprano business relationship it would be my current business partner Nick, who researched me here, found me at a convention and showed me our perfectly complimentary skillset. Also Gonzo, who I hadn't heard of 12 months ago but together we have achieved some amazing things in a short time & have supported each other a lot. I wouldn't be able to do the things I need to do to get back in the game without his help. Friends who became enemies and enemies who became friends? Hooper ---> enemy --> friend --> enemy --> scaredy cat Most memorable feature of flat board? The tags next to our names (i miss my nipple pink 'vaginator') and the fact that you couldn't have a sig without a backlink Webmaster who has grown the most? Someone that I always have my eye on is Colin ... the most inspirational, motivating webmaster in this industry IMO. He taught me, if you want to know the answer to something .... ASK! That quality has allowed him to build his own empire while helping a lot of other people along the way. Favorite Oprano ad campaign? I can't for the life of me remember who this was, but there was a really noisy campaign on the old flatboard which we all whined about for days before it got removed. Anyone remember what that was? Its not exactly my 'favorite' but its the most memorable ... well, everything but who it was LOL All time best piss? Serge & Nickatilynx ... it showed us that even the most solid friendships have limits & that when friends argue, the blows start low and finish lower. THANKS FOR OLD MEMORIES & CHEERS TO NEW BEGINNINGS Here's to you Here's to me Here's to board security Here's to Brad Here's to Joe Here's to boards that Just Blow Here's to Serge Here's to Mike Here's to business with people we like Here's to the future Here's to the past And Here's to the cockholsters who didn't think we'd last |
