Today "indecency" is Janet's tit (even sans nipple), Howard Stern in general, and anything that offends the gentle sensibilities of the Christian right.
The FCC presently defines "indecency" as:
Language or material that, in context, depicts or describes, in terms patently offensive as measured by contemporary community standards for the broadcast (or cable) medium, sexual or excretory activities or organs.
Despite George Carlin's comedy routine, "Seven Forbidden Words", there is not an official list maintained by the FCC:
