Moving is a *great* excuse to get rid of all that junk cluttering your house!
Just keep a couple of boxes in each room for "toss" stuff - fill 'em up and bring in more and don't look back. Packing or unpacking, doesn't matter... it's like a challenge to see how many 'toss' boxes you can fill up and give to charity. (Throwing yard sales is good but you tend to keep the stuff that doesn't sell.)
